To A LOT of Kids in his inaugural graduating class (HS) next year. Partnership with Kent State.

Feel ashamed of myself that I used to hate on this brother who's now done more with his influence than all other athlete's before him. And this is just the start...that's what's up!

Brought tears to my eyes and the best part is it wasn't a free ride...those kids had to earn it.

Bravo LeBron...so proud that you wear the Purple & Gold.

No joke, I used to hate on Lebron way back in the day. Both for his perceived arrogance (what young player isn't?) with the "Check the stats t-shirt" after a loss etc. and my own unabashed admiration for Kobe and willful dismissal of everything Lebron accomplished. Seriously though..when the dust settles, the dude's character is absolutely unassailable and we're back as contenders with him at the helm. Makes 2020 a wee bit better.

Yeah. Wish he came when he was younger of course, but heavy is Kobe's mantle to carry...but I think LBJ is really the only one who could do it.

I liked Lebron as a player but admired him for his charity endeavors. Many players contribute to charity on the low down that we don’t hear much about as well. It is fantastic seeing them giving back. And sad for those being taken advantage of (see the Eddie Curry thread in Off Topic).

Amazing.

Does anyone know how this gets paid for? Does Lebron cover the bill? Or the foundation through donations?

IIRC Married his high school sweetheart.. still married to her

The media needed the feud to make money off of.. we got suckered in..

I will bet LeBron still has his pre NBA Kobe Jersey(s)..

I remember one thing that he said was, 'If you want to be great at it or want to be one of the greats, you've got to put the work in. There's no substitution to work. I was a 15-year-old kid at that camp. You can actually find the footage.

The day before he passed .. bleep
