Ironically that is the one trait KOBE himself did not have much of.

We aren't the only team in the league with players affected by this.

Disagree. His persona on the basketball court was not who he was as a person, at least not during his older years

High expectations to beat PORTLAND AT HOME?????? No man....they SHOULD have won this game NO EXCUSES

Lillard was out of control in the 3rd. Didnt help that whiteside with his ugly arse shooting went off as well. Turnover differential was nuts too.

I get the emotional letdown from everything that has happened.

But we are still in a basketball organization, so to dismiss this (or any) game is ridiculous. We have major flaws that must be looked at and acted on for this team to go deep into the playoffs.

I fear that we’re gonna get run out of the gym tomorrow by another hot team who hit 21 3’s against the bums in the basement the other night.

I do think getting away from Staples for a while will do this team good.

You don't get perfect endings in life as this week showed us....yes, we lost the game, but this team wasn't all there. I think it will take a while before some sense of normalcy and routine kicks in.

(bleep) happens. Portland played well and we didn't. No reason to lose your mind over it.

I doubt this team is crushing anyone. We aren’t really that good! The all star break can’t come soon enough!

Let me check the standings... Nope.. Still pretty damn good.

No...he WAS terrible at empathy. Why do you think he hated Smush, Kwame, and couldnt stand guys like Lin, Young andthose (bleep) Lakers when the Lakers were pure crap???? Stop putting Kobe on a pedestal. When it comes to empathy yo u cant find anyone less suited

The only one whose franchise basically shut down for a week. The only one that has set a funeral home at their home arena complete with Amazing Grace.

Yes, but the lakers are affected the most, by far.

It was a let down for sure because we all needed some happiness that a win would of brought. However, the Lakers didn’t play bad overall, Lillard just went crazy (should of had Caruso on him more) and Whiteside was a force at the rim (both on offense and defense) which killed us.

A really sad day, I hope we get some wins soon, we need it emotionally.

Look at all the excuses for their poor performance....Kobe is the kinda guy who in extreme circumstances gets even more focused and does not accept losses or excuses. When others make excuses, Kobe refuses to make them. He lacks empathy but one thing he doesnt lack is killer will

Dude, Kobe is Kobe. None of these guys are. No shame in that.

I’ll be the first one to tell people that Kobe wasn’t perfect. He made mistakes and deplorable decisions early in life. The moments you’re talking about are true but to say he was terrible at empathy is kind of inaccurate. Look at how many stories have come out about Kobe helping people. Does that sound like someone who is “terrible at empathy” ?

I didn't watch the 4th and calmed down, this night for us is about a tribute to Kobe. The players are all hurt like us and I don't think it's right to (bleep) on any one player tonight.

People confuse him being a killer at his job and think that was all that he was. I lived through his entire time in LA. I remember stories as a kid that came on the news when he was just a young player of him helping random families. Helping a family replace a stolen wheelchair for their child. Paying for a grieving family's funeral. Some of this stuff would get out when the people he helped talked about it. We are hearing a lot of stories now that he has passed. You don't do all the stuff he did off the court if you have no empathy.

This doesn't mean his is a perfect human. Doesn't mean he was a perfect teammate, but he definitely had empathy for people that needed help.

Ok fine so rip on them then. Where does it get you? They play tommorow and are still top seed in the western conference. Season doesnt end tonight. Still 35 games left just in the regular season.

You move on. Do better. I think they will.
