Got my first today. What might be of interest is just how freeking organized and efficient was the process by Kaiser. I had a 10:30, got in the building (Cal Expo) around 10:15, got my shot around 10:25, waited for 15 min to make sure I didn't die, and was home before 11:00. The shot was barely a pinch and I've not yet experienced any of the possible side effects. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

I was going to wait on Kaiser but LC & CL convinced me to get it done as quickly as possible so I went the VA route. I had an appointment at 1:45 pm. Got there close to that time. Went right in got the shot, took about 10 minutes. Waited 15 minutes to see if there were any side effects. There were none. The process took around 30 minutes. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Three weeks ago, I announced we would have enough vaccine supply for all Americans by the end of July.
Now, with our efforts to ramp up production, we will have enough vaccines for every American by the end of May.
Pretty damn good if true. That is essentially 4 months from when Biden took over and the vaccine cupboards were bare when he did. Enough for over 300 million people (in many cases two doses). _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman

not just ramping up production (having pharm company help producing rival vaccine is what def prod act means) and they've also increased administration points including chain pharmacies (federal) and megasites (state run)... not perfect but most in the world so far
Mississippi joined Texas on Tuesday in lifting state mask mandates, despite federal health officials warning governors not to ease restrictions yet, because national progress in reducing coronavirus cases appears to have stalled in the last week.

businesses being opened, I can understand the arguement but ending mask mandate... ugh, we are probably just a month or two away from having majority American adult vaccinated, so close

There’s no good argument for fully opening businesses, especially those where you have to take your mask off to conduct the business, like bars and restaurants. This is a three part strategy:
Put money into business owner (I.E. donors) pockets. At the cost of lives.
Slow or disrupt the vaccine rollout success to politically harm Biden. At the cost of lives.
Please the base. At the cost of lives, including theirs. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Ended up getting my first dose of Pfizer today after being turned away last week. I recommend getting it at the Magic Mountain drive-through for those in LA County. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I’m a season pass holder and they have continued charging me monthly payments for the past year despite the COVID closure... (I forgot to cancel.) _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Seems like the IE is handling it really well. My parent got both there's out there and it was really smooth. My brother in law just went in for his first shot today. My sister registered at 4AM and he had an appointment at 11AM. He said there's no line and it was basically in and out. _________________ KOBE

I guess Republicans are good for one thing: Their petulant anti-science foolhardiness (at least the vast majority), just makes the line shorter and move much faster. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

Thanks to all of you for sending positives vibes all these weeks. Jodeke, thanks for the prayers. It has meant a lot.
He still needs oxygen for now and will continue physical therapy at home. And since I'll be taking care of him, I might be eligible for a vaccine. He will get his second dose next week, so I'll ask if I can get one, too. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!
