You've got a hard road to travel, Wilt, but you'll get there.

There is where thinking about and/or remembering doesn't hurt as much as the day before.

Your dad helped give you life, and when he needed to, he took you to a better/safer place to live.

He will always be with you.

Newer update:

There's some potential improvement in his oxygen levels when laying on his back. Most of the time, he's on his stomach, but they occasionally put him on his back to see how he reacts. His oxygen levels usually go down that way, so they always put him back on his stomach. This time, however, his oxygen remained stable while on his back. We'll see how it develops.

This is the first true good news we've gotten since he went on a ventilator.

My sister and her husband also facetimed him this morning. Though he is sedated and looks like he's sleeping, maybe he heard them. They made sure to update him on the Lakers.

Thank you all for your nice words. It means a lot.

That's good news. Keep the faith!

Good to hear some kind of positive, Wilt. Hopefully small steps lead to bigger ones.

Update:

Nothing's really changed. Which is not good. The doctor told us that, based on his experience and his gut, my dad won't recover.

It'll take a miracle at this point.

You meant a lot to everyone here. Thanks for taking a moment in a stressful time to give us this encouraging update.

Continuing to 🤞

By the grace of GOD, my results came back negative. However, that test was on Tuesday and it’s now Saturday. So, I could’ve gotten it between now and then because I’m staying with my mom to look after her. Her quarantine is over on Thursday. When she gets tested again, I will too.

I must say my cousin called me and informed me that she took care of her husband the whole time he had it and she never got it.

This evil virus 🦠 is such a mystery.

First,

Wilt, we all hope no news (since Jan 01) is good news.

Second,

On Aug 31, Trump said we're rounding the final turn. We had 188,113* deaths on that day. Now, we have ~392,000*, or more deaths since the comment than before. That is one hell of a wide turn I'd say.

Thanks Republicans for your "gift".

Just remember that when you die in an auto wreck, the previous turn you made was the final corner...

Nothing's really changed. His lungs just aren't recovering at a rate that he needs them to recover. We feared that, by now, his other organs would be collapsing. But he's actually doing well in that regard.

We still have hope that his body will start the healing process of his lungs at some point.

I can’t imagine what being balanced on that precipice day after day must be like.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Wilt. I'm really scared for my dad, he has a lot of health issues on top of which he just received a lung cancer diagnosis last year.

Stay safe and sane.
