Now that we have familiarized ourselves with AD's strengths and limitations, how does he compare to the main guy we gave up, Brandon Ingram? If you could go back in time before the trade knowing what you know now, who do you pick moving forward?

For the record their stats and shooting percentages are...

Ingram

25.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists

on

48/40/86

Davis

27.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists

on

50/30/86

A reminder also that—if we disappoint this year and get bounced in the 1st or 2nd round—it's definitely not guaranteed that AD is coming back.

the more i see us against top dogs the more i believe lebron needs a perimeter star next to him more than a big. we'll see tho. obviously not taking ingram over ad that's ridiculous.

Is this seriously a thread/poll? Listen, I greatly miss BI. He was my favorite of the kids. But AD is a top 5 player in this league.

It's threads like these that make this forum unbearable after a loss. Thank goodness we only have 9 of them on the season thus far.

Less than 40 games to go, then playoff time

It's been a while

AD is showing that he isn't a 1st option and can't be the go-to player on a championship roster. He really isn't a good enough 1:1 scorer.

If you have Lebron on the roster, you go with AD because he is a great #2.

If you are trying to build a championship team from scratch, you go with Ingram. His potential to be a #1 scorer is far more important than finding a great #2. This is also the reason the Lakers should have never drafted Lonzo.

Only problem with AD is that we're putting all of our eggs in one basket whereas with Ingram and the first rounders, we're spreading our eggs around so if the basket breaks, we don't lose all of our eggs. The AD trade looked good until he started getting hurt. Then it doesn't look as good.

Pretty sure we will make the playoffs with BI and the young guys, but there is no way we can be 34-9. We will be wasting lebrons time and our tiny championship window

Im probably one of the biggest BI apologists in history and will forever support him his entire career but the answer is ANTHONY DAVIS today , tomorrow, on one leg , one arm, 2 fingers, shaved unibrow, overweight on his jalapeno and lime signature Ruffles Chips.

small sample size but we looked pretty good without AD this season. I still blame assistant coach Walton for our failure last year since we had quite a good team.

Makes sense I suppose

Above average perimeter defender who can shoot from 3. Two of our biggest weakness.

Who's more injury prone AD or PG?

I'm getting "Two Priests walks into a Bar" vibes

Are people factoring in defense? Bc AD is a DPOY level player.
