It's BI by a country mile. He can playmake like Zo, play anywhere from 1-4 and with a defensive oriented coach and with DPoYs like AD and Dwight, Slenderman’s 7ft+ wingspan would be putting our D on Chicago Jordan/Pip Doberman level.
Obviously, it will drop his offensive production some to have AD/Bron as the focal points on that side of the ball, but everything this team is currently missing (ie 3rd option, playmaker to have Bron play more offball and to lead the 2nd unit when Bron/AD sit) is all wrapped up in BI’s game. He would be the perfect keeper in the AD purge.
All that being said, if Jrue is really on the block, that would have been another guy that would be perfect both as a defensive ace and playmaker capable of having Bron/AD not extend themselves too much in the regular season.
The one thing in doing a deal with NO again is that we are able to trade a future 1st with them (and only them) this trade deadline since they can change up protections on the picks we already oh yeah them. We can outright convert the 2023 1st swap to a fully unprotected pick if we give the the 2021 fully unprotected...or change the protections from 2024 1st not deferring to 2025 and instead make the 2025 another pick swap with 2026 being fully unprotected.
Green/Av/Cook/2025 1st pick swap/2026 fully unprotected 1st/4m cash for Cook buyout for Jrue/FrankJax
We need all that outgoing salary at a minimum just to match Jrue’s. FJax is a vet min that can be traded directly into a vet min exception and is necessary due to NO’s roster already being at max capacity of 15.

that's just hasn't been his makeup defensively... even with Luke he showed he was a good defender, but it's just by being solid; he was giving great effort..What I'm saying is he's never been a stocks player - he doesn't use his hands much - he doesn't crack down to make blocks...he doesn't reach to get steals... That's Lonzo...... Those are instincts.. not every long player has that.. and I think it's hard to teach. it's not a matter of effort and stuff..
Zo naturally has great hands on defense...and the instincts to go look for stocks out there.. Ingram is a 1v1 stay in front with effort guy. |

The Pels are winning games because they have a real starting center back in the line-up.
I can assure all of you they'd still be losing most of their games if he wasn't available.
So I'd disagree that they're winning because Zo is finally starting to play better. He's part of the reason for the turn around, same as Ingram. But there is no turn around without Favors. |
