I'm a conservative, but I never found Imus appealing. He had been around 50 years, I think its a generational thing. I doubt he was much worse than other people his age, but he wasn't my cup of tea. Sort of the old school Howard Stern, who I don't care for either.

never listened because there were no stations that syndicated him where I am from, but I recall him on in the mornings on MSNBC (?). That said, I recognize his legacy in talk radio is enormous. I am not sure of the actual numbers, but I think he was #1 in NYC mornings for decades which was a much bigger deal then than that it is now. I was willing to give him a mulligan over the Womens Rutgers basketball controversy, but too many things came out afterwards that made it undeniable he had some deep seeded racists thoughts and beliefs.

Howard would have had a field day with this 10-15 years ago but he got soft and made up with him in his age.

Bye.

He ended becoming one of those people who he railed against when he was younger.
