There's never a guarantee of a championship - the Lakers have almost as many heartbreaking playoff losses as they do rings.

After 6 years of utter futility, however, I'm celebrating the fact that the teams that clowned us in recent years are now looking up at us!

I will not apologize for being glad about it!

One might argue that 25 (after tonight) of 82 games into the season isn't "still early".

Good point. That’s why I said Relatively early. It’s a decent sample size, no question. But a 10 game stretch of a team getting hot can change a team’s numbers pretty quick. That was the point I was making, in the end

When we clinch the championship, I'm taking the Mrs. to my favorite restaurant (it's open), have a $110.00 steak and a $200.00 shot of scotch.

I miss restaurant food. So tired of my grilled chicken.

Damn, I love whisky, but not sure there's any shot worth $200. Is this like a 30 year old Macallan or something.

A real Lakers-fan doesn't boast and certainly doesn't celebrate anything else than a 'chip, buddy. Just keep your cool and smirk arrogantly whenever one of those doofus friends of yours wants to talk b-ball with you. They're not worth your time, they're not on your level intellectually. If they were, they would be Lakers-fans, too, right?

The moment we sweep Giannis in the finals is when I will rise from my couch, tip my hat to the team, light a cigar, take a sip of some good ol' whiskey, and enjoy the moment for a couple of minutes. And once the glass is empty it's back to smirking arrogantly and ignoring people until we win the next one. That is the Laker way, baby.

Heh heh heh.

Actually, the chanting is a compliment!

I used to hate hearing other fans chant Beat LA until I heard Chick explain that we are the only team in the league that has a chant like that. It is a compliment.

Mostly I’m not a big fan of digging up old posts just to say “told you so” but this guy was just so condescending that I’m cool with it.

He was obviously a Lakers hater. I think he got banned.

First choice is Bourbon Steak in Glendale, but the wife thinks the seating is too close during COVID-19.

At this point, Nick & Stef's or STK.
