Maybe it's time to think about trading both and maybe KCP to the Spurs for DeRozan. Since Pop loves Kuz and has had Green before.

DeRozan can't space the floor like DG/KCP, he'll be like Lou in our team

Am I the only one sensing a bit of irony here? First KCP, then Kuz and Rondo and now Green. Let's see who is on the blame-carousel next week.

Exactly. This is who Green is. He isn't going to give you big numbers every night but he's a complementary player who can capitalize on teams doubling on stars. He isn't a problem out there. He does a lot of little things that don't show in stats. Last night I saw AD try to block a guard's shot in the paint and Green ran down from the free throw line to box out AD's man and our team got the rebound. That's a 6'5" guy boxing out a 7-footer and it worked. He's a high IQ guy that makes winning plays even if it doesn't add to his box score.

Vast majority of all sports fans can’t see beyond about 1-2 days.

Mr. Green is going the way of Mr. Kuzma, reliable for only one thing (3 point shot) and barely that. I'm not just basing my assessment on tonight. Green is supposed to be a lock down defender, but I haven't seen any evidence of that the entire season. I also haven't noticed him being a true rebounder, and he doesn't produce any assists. His mid range game is horrendous, and he misses layups too frequently. So, if he isn't making his 3 point shots, his value to the Lakers team is stymied.

We can put Kuzma (and to an extend KCP) in the same category as Green, players that may have big 3 point shooting nights every 6-7th game, or so. But between those big games, we get little to nothing from them.

I like both Kuzma and Green, but I have to pull for the team before individuals. Kuzma and Green are wildly inconsisent and cannot be relied upon to do any one particular thing really good, game in and game out.

Very disappointed in D. Green. Hope he and Kuz get out of their collective funks and start contributing.

A lot of people seemed to have the mistaken idea that Green was a star and part of some "big three."

He's actually having a very typical season. What he's doing for us is what he is.

Have you seen defenders sag off him?

You clearly are undervaluing Green's true worth which is his gravity. He is a 10+ yr vet of course he's chilling. However he is our best defender still.

I’m going to agree with OP just because I’ve watched Danny through several teams and he can be much better. He’s likely having a wee slump but come back to the light, Danny. We needs ya.

It will be the next guy whose shots don’t fall for a couple games.

Holding out hope he’s going to hit big shots in April and May cuz not sure what he brings to the table. If Avery were healthy I’d hardly play him

This is how he played last season too. He was even worse in the playoffs actually. I think the Raptors do a better job of setting up their shooters for corner 3's and that might be why he shot a career high there. Besides, it's nice to have a guy shooting 38% from 3 while he's "in a rut". Green this season has been what I expected and I'm happy to have him on this team.

Did y'all just compare Danny Green to Kyle (bleep) Kuzma?

DG a winner man he's going to do what is asked of him. He's no star player. Vogel obviously asked him to crash the glass last game, because our rebounding has been bad. Then we dominate the boards...Not just DG but a team effort, but like I said DG will do whatever is asked of him.

DG $14.5 million a year, Clarkson on the last year of his $13.4 million deal. Trade and decide weather to resign JC next year?

Danny is shooting 39.8% from 3 this year, Clarkson is shooting 34.7%

… I'm going to say No.

Clarkson ORtg = 111 DRig = 117 NET (-6)

Green ORtg = 109 DRtg = 103 NET +6

Green has been fine. Shooting off and on, as usual, but still mostly good, and he has been a good presence for us on D. GT said in his LFR vid on Green that Green isn’t the best individual D guy, but he’s superb in team defense, which he has been for us.

Here we go, trying to trade players when they aren’t playing well again.

Why do we want to get the least value possible?

I wouldn’t argue with you if you want to trade Green for a better piece. But we can’t be doing it when they aren’t playing well. Gotta do it when they are.

With Danny hitting 40% from 3 and KCP hitting 38% from 3 … DeRozan better play like a damn superstar
