Not trying to diminish at all what AD has brought to the team, but just for fun since I see some similarities, who do you feel is the better player between KG and AD? Why?

**I edited the title because I meant KG - Kevin Garnett. Was seriously curious what y'alls felt but guess the topic has ended at my expense before it could even get started. Lol dang.

Your title has KD and your post has KG. Who is it?

So are we really trying to talk about AG? As in, Andrew Goudelock?

Tough question. In today's NBA I go with AD. In yesterday's I go with TD.

Durant? I'd much prefer building around a healthy Durant. Paired with Lebron...? Then it becomes more of a debate, imo.

IMO Malone was a lot more durable, but AD is the better defender. Tough call.

Nice and simple: If the Lakers are "eliminated in the second round" I pay you $200. If they are not, you pay me $200. Cool?

Done. DM me for Venmo info.

Kevin Garnett was more of a small forward than a power forward. Kevin had legit point guard skills. I recall during an All-star game when Popovich used an entire 7-footer lineup, Garnett, Nowitzki, Duncan, he was the point guard. Anthony Davis has a lot more foot-speed than Kevin Garnett ever had. I have never seen a big with that much end to end speed. Similar builds, however, Kevin Garnett was closer to 7’1” while Anthony Davis is closer to 6’9” — not a knock at all, since Hakeem Olajuwon was closer to 6’9” as well. Defensively, Anthony has left my jaw on the floor with his fluidity. The other night, on a routine possession, Anthony smothered Schroder on a rushed layup attempt and it looked like he was slithering in mid-air to challenge the shot.

I like to think of Kevin Garnett as a 7-foot version of Scottie Pippen.

Thanks for the detailed response! I feel like KG was a more natural scorer and distributor than AD is, and so the offense seemed to more naturally flow thru KG in comparison to AD on the Lakers, so far. As far as defensive impact to their respective teams, it's hard to say as KG was considered their anchor and even won Defensive Player of the Year, although what AD has been putting out there has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Christian Laettner or Alonzo Mourning.

Winner: Shaq-Fu (ironically they all won a ring together in Miami)

Grant Hill, TMac and Duncan should have won one in Orlando.

KG is one of the greatest mid range shooters in NBA history: shooting over 40% from longer mid range (16-22 ft) was routine year after year. In terms of footspeed, I remember when this fool in the 90s would d-up the quickest point guards with no problem as he did with Nick Van Exel, Gary Payton, and Damon Stoudamire - I would not give the advantage to AD over Garnett in this regard. Offensively Garnett was clearly better than AD. Defensively, its close and not sure where I would lean towards. I feel perimeter defense and pick and roll defense wise they are close but lean towards Garnett. Post defensive though, I might lean towards AD. If there was an aspect of defense Garnett "struggled" with its against bigger post players down in the block but that could be because there were much better post players than nowadays
