I was a sucker for Waffle Crisp. Pretty sure they put cocaine in it or something. I could eat a whole box. But since it's not around anymore I'll say Honey Smacks. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

it is funny that you mention that....I grew up in WV, so I basically had white hillbilly and black hillbilly friends. I moved to Florida when I was 16, and my first close friend was part Chinese and part Cambodian and when I would visit his house they had huge bags of rice stacked up everywhere in the house. I can recall even a couple bags lining the hallway. I am talking about bags the size of large dog food bags....honestly I do not even know where to purchase rice in that quantity. He explained to me what you claimed....rice was really the foundation of every meal and even snack on a daily basis. He had multiple siblings, so there was many mouths to feed. |

Admittedly, the were a few fruit loops floating on top for the sake of appearances. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

When I was little, it was Lucky Charms. When I got a little older, it was Frosted Flakes. |

Cookie crisps was the one breakfast cereal I always had beef with. They're just chocolate chip cookies.
At least have the decency to create a new sugar food. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I grew up poor and rarely had "good" cereal as my mom didnt want to buy it if shes already getting the basic WIC cereal like unsweetened Kix, Chex, cherrios.
But my favorite was the rice crispy treats cereal.
As an adult i pretty much never eat cereal... all that processed carbs and sugar is a waste of my "bad calories" that could be going to something i enjoy much more. But I recently had a taste for that rice crispy treats cereal but havent found it in stores anywhere. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Yeah, I used to love that (bleep). One time it was on sale and my mom bought probably eight boxes of it at my behest. About halfway through the 6th box I became completely disgusted by it and refused to eat any until years later.
Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch, Cookie Crisp, Oreo O's, Lucky Charms, Fruit Loops and Honey Nut Clusters were also favorites of mine. I hated Life Cereal. |

Rice Krispies — rare but I did appreciate the few times a year it would appear on the table. Unfortunately, the default cereal was Wheaties. For many years, the box featured the person now known as Caitlyn Jenner (?) after a triumphant victory in the Olympics. |

Cap'n Crunch
I think the ad programming for kids cereal is permanently etched in my brain. Even though I don't eat sweet cereals anymore, anytime I see a new one in the cereal aisle I get tempted. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I never had actual cereal growing up. We simply didn't have that stuff where I lived in eastern Europe. I would, however, crumble certain biscuits and put them in milk and it would somewhat resemble cereal.
I first had cereal in Germany at age 10. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

yea man, so basically moms would cook the meat dishes, usually bunch of veggie dishes and we would all put rice on our plate then grab some of the dishes. each bite would be rice plus whatever.
We always buy sacks of rice, like up to 50lbs |

I’m still waiting for congee to take off as a breakfast craze. People just don’t know. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I never recall eating rice growing up. I honestly do not recall eating it a single time. As an adult, I eat rice daily....at least 5 days a week. |
