I think Butler would have been a nice short-term window guy.

I wanted DLO but there were too many things that needed to happen to get him as a RFA.

Westbrook votes for AB. After Harden went for 47 against the Clippers:

"Pat Bev trick y'all, man, like he playing defense," Westbrook said. "He don't guard nobody, man. It's just running around, doing nothing. ... All that commotion to get 47."

Perfectly said by Russ....Beverly brags about his D but truth is Harden, KD, legit scorers have a field day against him. Beverly has become one of the most overrated players in the league. For the $ absolutely I would take Bradley.

But don’t Harden, KD, legit scorers have a field day against pretty much everyone? Just sayin’

Guys like Harden are impossible to guard one on one. Need help defenders.

Or you just let him do his thing and stop everyne else.

According to BasketBallReference, they both have a defensive rating of 102.

For a reference as to which might be a better formula, AD has a 93.9 (2nd in the league) at BBR and 98.0 (7th in the league) at NBA.com

I’ve watched a decent amount of Clippers games when they have played other good teams. Pat Bev is more reputationthan a 1v1 defender. He has gotten lit up 3-4 times this year. Booker was the last one I remember before last night. He’s good on helps defense, his energy is contagious, and has a lot of heart. Skill wise he’s overrated. He can’t buy a shot and has a lot of games with 4 pts or so. Other than one 20 and 11 point night he hasn’t scored in the double digits.

Bradley all day. Bevelery could be a better defender, maybe? Bradley is just the better all around player imo.

As Tom Thibodeau figured out years ago, if you keep hacking, they might call some calls, but not all, especially if you have a reputation as a good defender. So even if Beverley gets called for more fouls than Bradley, there are countless fouls he doesn't get called for. If, say, Caruso played that way, he'd foul out in a quarter.

Beverly is a pest. He gets under players skin. He's master at throwing players off their game. He gets to players like Westbrook.

Harden is a different animal. He seems to thrive on players like Beverly. He has to find a way to take it to the playoffs.

There was a big portion of the game where Harden was letting Russ do his thing. I don't know if he was coasting or not but he had a period of inactivity for awhile. The Rockets offense looks absolutely terrible. Lot of bad shots over there.

Are they back to the "my turn, your turn" offense? No wait, that was OKC's offense when Russ and KD were there. Hmm. Different team. Different coach. But same Russ. The return of MTYT offense! Disgusting.

Back to Patty. He's a good defender.
But he gets overhyped cuz he's his own hype man and he never shuts up.

Hmmmm

However, contrary to Westbrook's implication, Harden did not have much success against Beverley, a two-time All-Defensive selection. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Harden was 0-for-6 from the floor when defended by Beverley

very true, although I like what I seen from both Bradley and Caruso on defense. Cook been so so, Daniels defense worries me

Meanwhile Lou Williams was checking Westbrook.
