Naw. The stakeholders will keep it alive. It will go through lulls, though.

Honestly, I just use this thread for whenever I run across a cool quote, article, or vid of Kobe doing badass (bleep). It'll always find its way back to the front page of the Lounge.

Lots of players have cool quotes and highlights, lol. Fact is that every single sports network does and will always rank LAbron higher than Bryant.

With Bron sitting out the last game, my calculations show a strong likelihood that LAbron passes Bryant in points around the Clippers game. During Bryant's last few years, we lost around 10 straight games to the Clippers. Bron won't let that happen.

Lol man I don't care what a your favorite media hacks say. If you wanna treat that fluff like the Bible, that's on you. And like I've said before, I don't even hate Bron. Dude is damn good.

You say the same tired stuff over and over again. Maybe you should listen to ChefLinda for once:

Dirk Nowitzki CLAIMS Kobe Bryant was the best offensive player or best player he has seen and faced.

The Mavs managed to force Kobe to shoot from a difficult angel at the left corner. Kobe just turned around and shot left handed. Three point. And behid Kobe, the Dallas owner was clapping in disbelief.

Henry Abbot is fuming.

Kobe was hands down the best player for almost a full decade.
It makes me laugh when people try to rework the past

LSU has been the champs since beating the more worthy opponents like: Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia.

This chmpship game against Clemson was just a formality.

Clemson, playing weak opponents all the time until meeting Ohio Buckeyes, milked the weak system of ranking in college football. They will be back again, ranked 2nd or 3rd and stays that way until they will meet a real ranked team who is already battered.

Yes, I am laughing at the media who have been praising Clemson like crazy.
BS. They just never met real team until the already injured Ohio team.

Meanwhile, the real deals from SEC like LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Aurburn had to kill one another and caused three others out of CF playoffs. As one can see, SEC dominated almost all Bowls matchups.

Clemson reminds of me of Leastern conference at one decade.

end of rant!

Not really. Threads like this have come and gone. I post when someone says something worth posting about. Otherwise, I don’t.

Every single sports network is a "media hack"? I respectfully disagree. There's just a ton of consistency in the rankings.

Have people given up on trying to prove Kobe > Lebron? Let’s get some new info guys!

Lebron will surpass Kobe in scoring soon and I wonder if this thread will go nuts or stay dormant at that time.

Everyone’s got it how they got it.
Can’t keep saying the same thing over and over. There were a lot of great posts and valid points made for the first twenty pages or so.
If you got something new to add, feel free.

We can all predict what will happen.

You and Metro will come into this thread, all giddy and looking to stir things up. You'll push buttons until the Kobe side reacts. You'll exchange a series of schoolyard while you have a self-satisfied "What am I doing?" smile on your face.

And then you'll pat yourself on the back for what a productive day you've had.

In other words, same old, same old.

This thread would have wound down a couple of months ago if it was just about basketball.

This is a thread where people alternate between being the magnifying glass and being the ant.

That's reasonable enough. It's hard to imagine that anyone who has taken part in this thread, myself included, will look back and believe we have spent our time well by being in here.

I got Kobe over LeBron for many reasons.
But some disagree. And that’s Cool.
People are welcome to their view on it
(As long as they don’t tell me crap like, “It’s just a FACT that LeBron is better!”....that’s what I got problems with.)

Lol. You’re not entirely wrong about that, I suppose.
Not all wasted time though. At least not to me. Enjoyed some of the earlier give and take in this thread.
