All we got out of it was AD and owing a ton of picks. It will be worth it if they extend AD or win a championship.

The takeaway is that the department that handles scouting did their job. The reason why we don't have all that much to show for the talent we acquired is because the department that handles development didn't do theirs. We might still have one or two of those assets if they did.

Yup. We are terrible at cultivating talent. Hopefully phil handy changes that for the team.

If talent development wasnt useless we wouldnt have had to given away all these assets for AD and saved a couple picks and/or player

The comp prob look like this (then fill up the roster)

DLo - max ($29.3mil)
Randle - $20.7mil
Ball - $8.7mil
Zu - $7mil
Clarkson - $12mil
Hart - $1.9 mil
BI - looking like max contract offer from someone is coming (maybe like DLo $29.3mil)

TOTAL: $108.9mil

vs

LeBron - max ($38.3)
AD - should be max (maybe like LeBorn: $38.3)
DG - $15mil
KCP - $8.3mil
Kuz -$2mil
Caruso - $2.7mil
McGee - $4.1mil

TOTAL: $108.7mil

I think if FO really were going 100% on the youth, they wouldn't have traded Dlo for salary dump which mean they wouldn't have drafted a PG, so no Fultz/Ball, we be prob pick Tatum.

Ingram is a game time decision, he's not injured.. Also Kuz started out the season injured, and couldn't play. Is it a big deal? Would it have made sense to say ex Lakers are all playing while Kuz is injured? No it wouldn't have, it would have been a dumb thing to say.

What conclusion are we to arrive at based on your post? What is it you're trying to communicate? Now ask yourself if it matters..

Let’s be honest. BI is injury prone. Lonzo is injury prone. Hart to a lesser extent.

Kuz just had his first real injury.

When people piss and moan about AD being injured. Let’s be honest.

I’ve got some real honesty I’d like to say to you but I’ll hold back. You can enjoy one player without having to try and (bleep) on others🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't piss and moan about AD's injury history.

Ingram's first 3 years.. Games.. 79.. 59.. 52.. Kuz.. 77.. 70..

I'm being "honest" Ingram isn't injury prone. Nor is Hart.. Hopefully Zo can turn things around.

4 for 4 threes too. First 30/15 off bench in NBA since 2002. Everyone getting a chance to shine outside of LA.

So happy for Mo and TB.

It's a given that we draft well.

Now developing them... that's another issue.

Lakers didn't trust any of their kids to mixed with the Bron and AD. I mean you could have bridged for the future with Wagner and not sign McGee, right? Jared Dudley? The proof of a good pick had to smack them in the face in the first year like Kuzma or Jordan Clarkson. Otherwise, they, or I should say Magic and Pelinka, had no confidence, no trust in their scouts.

It is simpler than that, our scouts are vets with decent resumes. Magic and Pelinka were clueless newbies.

Actually LBJ was part of it too since Dlo was used to create space.

Now we need to add Mo Wagner to the list

Our draft scouts went from useless to top notch recently. Kuz looks good. THT is to be determined

We gave him away for free, and we can thank kawhi for that

I honestly don't blame Kawhi much. It was the Lakers choice to act desperate.
