as Clippers play with so much heart and energy. This is how they overachieved last year.
We have no energy guys. A lot of older guys that cant maintain high energy for a full 48, even Lebron.
We will be alright though, but teams with defense and high energy might give us a problem like Clips, Mil.
Lonzo and BI won't have helped us. I don't think Iggy would be useful given his age. Kuz will be helpful, but he needs defense to greatly improve. I think Hart would have been a great young guy to keep instead of going after (bradley, cooks, kcp) etc. Hopefully coaches unleash Norvell and give time to Kostas. |
I don't know about that. Imagine Lonzo out there instead of KCP. We probably win the game. |

Both are free agents next summer. |
Best case scenario imo is the Heat gift the Lakers Dragic before trade deadline knowing they won’t re-sign him. |
He makes $19M. Tough for the Lakers to match salaries without KCP agreeing to being dealt plus adding 3-4 more guys on low money contracts. _________________ Under New Management |

This is a Lebron team bench. Happens everywhere he goes.
As others have said, he’s not in the East anymore. He’s also 35 now.
Tough to win against deep teams with energy and live bodies like the clippers. |

Gentlemen, we just were outhustled. I just don't remember Danny Green ever scoring 28 points. LeBron & AD 11 points in the 2nd half?? And let's no talk about turnovers, please. |

I don't think it's just hustle.. their roster looks better. And that's without their 2nd star. |

1. Need to build chemistry
2. Vogel needs to know his players more
3. Rotation needs to improve
4. Pace needs to increase and less iso
We’ll get better after this game. It’s a process. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

The answers will come. But wow, AD’s midrange, Bron’s turnovers, Dwight’s soft defense, Vogels momentum swinging subs... just why? _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

Game was winnable. Our starters with Lebron and AD both being subpar still thoroughly outplayed theirs. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good |

It’s their first highly competitive game together and they cracked under pressure. Understandable tho. They’ll get better once they mesh. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

Too early. As the season plays out, this might be what the Clippers look like when clicking on all cylinders and this might be what the Lakers look like on their worst night. We just don't know. The clippers rotations are already set. Vogel is still fine tuning our rotations. I don't think there will be many halves this season where Lebron and AD combine for 11 points. |

Sign Jamal Crawford to shore up the bench scoring. He'd be our answer to Lou Wms. |

Lebron probably had at least 3-4 shots rim out. Probably extremely frustrating for him as he could not get into a rhythm. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good |

The Chicken Littles will come out tonight, but I'm not too worried...yet. I think Lebron being washed is overblown. He was getting where he wanted tonight and missed some good looks that he usually hits, including a couple of bunnies at the rim. The Clips defended him pretty smartly, too, and got him to turn the ball over. Overall, Lebron and AD have a lot more to give than what they showed tonight, I don't really have much doubt about that.
I think we just saw a team that was put together overnight play a team whose core is mostly intact from last season and already knows their identity and has good chemistry. And jokes aside, the Clips are pretty (bleep) good, with or without PG. |
The Chicken Littles, trolls & haters have been out all night. |
It’s one game Lol
The Lakers will gel |

Can't really blame 'em. Look at how Lee Jenkins made out - if he had stuck at SI he'd probably be unemployed right now. _________________ Under New Management |

If he was still effective like Lou, he would have been signed by now.
Right now he’s an old player with chucking, iso game. Not too different from Melo. |

All I wanted was to beat the clips opening season... The wife and I are on vacation in Canada. I was a few shots of Lot No. 40 Rye into the second half at the LAMPLIGHTER in Vancouver ... Listening to kids cheer for the clippers eminent WIN. BREAKING NEWS: KAWAI LEFT YOU! |

We missed a lot of open shots and gimmes.
Clippers were white hot and making ridiculous shots. No amount of defense can stop those from going on.
Rotation and lineups need A LOT of work. |
Part of the reason they were so hot is because we can't match up very well defensively. We had no one to defend Kawhi tonight. When PG comes back we are gonna get torched by both of them. And then there's still Lou Williams.
On top of not having the necessary perimeter defenders we also don't have enough scoring from our guards/wing players to go blow for blow with them. Just Lebron that's it. I just don't think we can beat them as constructed. |
DG was doing pretty good on kawhi.
then we put KCP on him and he made 7 baskets in a row in that 40 point 2nd quarter that we never recovered from.
then DG gets hot and gets us the lead.. and vogel takes him out.. WTF. |
Yes but look at the big picture. If we are relying on Danny Green to drop 28pts then we are screwed. |
no I totally agree.. we can't rely on him for that. and he did play 32 minutes.. but if he's hot.. he's hot.. keep him in. there's no one else who can guard kawhi.. though towards the end AD was on him. |

2 of their "bench" shouldn't be bench..
Lou and Harrell are way better than Shamet and patterson.. so that's kind of a misnomer |
