FIRST QUARTER ACTION - CARUSO

Per Trudell

Alex Caruso took an inadvertant elbow to the head from Mo Bamba as Caruso stripped Bamba (leading to a Howard dunk), and Caruso went to the bench, before continuing to the training room to get checked out.

https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/1217659017394176000

EDIT: Per Trudell on TV: Still no news on Caruso at the start of the 2nd half. He’s still in back with the medical staff as of now.

AD DID NOT PRACTICE

Per Trudell

Quick 📹 of @AntDavis23 getting up and down with members of the coaching staff after Friday’s practice. We’ll see what Frank Vogel has to say about when AD might return ahead of the coming 5-game road trip. ⬇️

Anthony Davis didn’t practice today but is doing some work after practice (see prior video/tweet) and will be listed as questionable for the game at Houston.

I won't say AD's fragile I think he's injury prone.

There's a difference. Fragile is like easily broken. Injury prone is like always having accidents, getting poked in the eye, injuring a finger, spraining a ankle and such.

Injuries is the discussion. AD is the subject. He's been absent because of freak injuries.

AD - RONDO - CARUSO

Per McTen

The Lakers say that Rajon Rondo (fractured right ring finger) is out tonight. Alex Caruso has been upgraded from probable to available to play. Anthony Davis remains questionable.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1218612213910581249?s=21

A Concise Version Per Trudell

Injury update for tonight at Houston: @ACFresh21 is available. @AntDavis23 is questionable. And @RajonRondo is out.

Good news on Alex not so good on AD. We're gonna need AD. Kuz is due for a good game. Let it be tonight.

Gonna be tough to beat the Houston team without AD. AD is a big factor in why we are better than a team like Houston, because it gives us a big advantage on both ends. Without him it is the Lebron and 3 point shooters show, with a little bit of Kuzma. Defensively we have to learn a lot more on McGee and Howard. So will be a really tough game to win without AD.

Injury was my angst about AD. He's only played 75 games twice in his career. He's around 65 games per. If any player needs load management it's AD. We're gonna need him in the playoffs.

AD SEEMING PRETTY FRAGILE - NO AD FOR HOUSTON

Per McTen

Lakers star big man Anthony Davis will not play Saturday in Houston, missing his fifth straight game as he continues to recover from a hard fall on his backside against the Knicks

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1218685062776000519?s=21

Per Tania G

No Anthony Davis tonight. Frank Vogel said he’s feeling better and did some stuff on the court today but still isn’t ready.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/1218685206791643136?s=21

Vogel says they’ll be able to get Davis some work tomorrow morning before they fly to Boston, which could help him progress toward possibly playing in Boston.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/1218685699823673345?s=21

Per Trudell

Anthony Davis won’t play tonight in Houston. He’s not quite ready for game action, the medical staff determined. He’ll do another workout tomorrow morning, in advance of Monday’s game at Boston.
