Good reports from KCP out of camp; he said he forgot he was a 3/D guy and now he's more focused on it I guess. It's possible we have 4 nice 3/D players. Green, Caruso, Bradley, KCP. It'd just be nice if we got 2 of these guys to play very well any given night. 12pts and defense.

He forgot ?

when Lakers first signed him to that bloated contract he likely took that as a mandate to be more than just a 3 and D guy.
Either way its very good news if this is what he going to focus on.

The Lakers starters tonight are below but don’t get married to this lineup. Frank Vogel said he will shuffle the lineup throughout the preseason.

LeBron James
Avery Bradley
Danny Green
Anthony Davis
JaVale McGee

One way or another, Kuzma winds up back in the starting lineup imo. He started off the bench first 2 years and quickly within the first 2 games of the season became the permanent starter.

Who amongst the starters would he be better? No one.

Tough task when the guys at the 3 and 4 are All-NBA level.

Right, is he going to take AD’s job or Lebron’s?

My hope is that he finishes games with AD at C, but obviously he needs to prove he's up to the task defensively.

Hypothetically it would be McGee. AD would move to the 5, and Kuzma would go back to the 4. But I don't see it happening. McGee is too good at hustle and energy plays and Brow wants his minutes at the 5 limited. Considering Brow's injury history and the fact that he'll be a free agent after this year. I think Brow stays starting at the 4. Like he wants.

His defense AND 3-ball are gonna need a lot of improvement from last year for him to finish games.

After the first game, AD looked like a genius by insisting that the Lakers get a center to play next to him so that he could play PF. Admittedly, it was only the first preseason game. Still, unless the Lakers go into a deep funk with injuries to both McGee and Howard, I don't expect to see Kuzma in a starting lineup next to LBJ and AD.

Luckily it's a bunch of scrubs outside of Kuz, and of course DC, but we wrote him off long ago.

dang that sucks for Cook. Preseason was his audition to try to win minutes over Rondo and KCP.

Why are we playing GS 4 times this year (in preseason)? It seems like we always play them a ton in pre-season. If you're saying they're nearby, it's not like GS is the only other team in California.

he will get an opportunity....Rondo will get banged up and be out a week or two at some point.....KCP will hit a cold streak to will open up minutes. I never thought he would start, but if he can put the ball in the basket, minutes will not be an issue for too long.
