Clips have the best defensive lineup, Lakers will need to match their intensity.

Whoever emerges from this will probably be the team that has two of their stars healthy in the playoffs. Considering history, to have Davis, Lebron, Leonard, and George all healthy at the same time in the playoffs is 50/50 at this point. The oldest guy, Lebron, likely will be the one playing at his fullest. Everyone else is a question mark.

Both teams are one injury away from bust.

No they don't. Lakers are the better defensive team.

Raptors were a much more rounded and deep team last year than the Clippers this year. Last year's Raptors easily beats this years Clippers.

They're still a good team

Lakers didn't get back on defense.
Raptors are one of the best fast break teams

Get used to it with Kawhi.

And get used to a hobbled Kawhi come playoffs

I don't have to get used to anything I'm not a Clippers fan I'm just telling it like it is. The Clippers have a better team. They are 8-5 and Kawhi has only played what 7 out of 13 games? George has only played a couple. Take LeBron off this team for 6 games and we are not even .500. Take AD out for 11 games and we are probably 3-8.

You mean that same Clipper team that lost to a crippled Pelicans team with Paul George scoring 30 plus.

Not surprised the Clippers scored that many points against Atlanta. They needed after losing 2 Straight to get their confidence back so once they had the Hawks down they were not going to take their foot off the gas

Not having their best players yes. The Lakers didn’t have Kuzma for a while and that wasn’t an excuse for subpar play. Nor having Rondo and now Bradley were used as excuses

I'm also telling it as it is.

Kawhi was hobbled and limited last playoffs and he'll be hobbled and limited this playoffs also. If the Lakers meet the Clippers in the later rounds of the Playoffs AD will contain PG and Kawhi will be limited.

Lakers will be favorites to win that.

You're not telling it like it is, you're telling it thru your Laker shades. The Clippers are already a damn good team while both of their stars missing a bunch of games. They haven't even both played together yet. As both teams are currently constructed; only way we beat them in a 7 game series is if they are hurt. Both teams at full strength will look a lot like what happened in the season opener.

No, I'm telling it how it is.

Kawhi will be hobbled come playoffs because he won't be able to rest his leg and AD will contain PG.

Lakers will win in a 7 game series.

The series opener isn't the playoff run, it doesn't simulate a long stretch of games where Kawhi hasn't been able to rest his leg. It is therefore a false equivalence. Like I said he was limping through the ECF finals last year and right through the finals series. Kawhi won't last a playoff run.

You aren't either though.... at all. The season opener means absolutely nothing as the Lakers are already a completely different team as the Clippers will be too.. Like you said we haven't even seen them both play together yet so how do you know? You don't.. Both teams are clearly going to be tough as hell come playoff time. I don't see how anyone can say they are clearly better at this point of the season....

We'll also see how Kawhi looks deep in the playoffs against all tough Western conference opponents while probably meeting the Lakers in the conference finals where he won't be that same fresh player you see getting tons of games off. Still a great player obviously but we'll see come playoff time.

I refuse to get caught up in premature hype. Many Laker fans are caught up in it right now because we've sucked for a long time and we're finally good.. and I get that. We are definitely good. But the team still has glaring weaknesses and we haven't even been tested yet. Sure we've beaten some good teams but not the real contenders.

We haven't beaten the Clippers (and they were without George). We haven't even played Houston, Denver, Boston, Philly, Milwaukee etc. To me it's hilarious seeing some fans constantly boasting about how we're gonna take care of the Clippers and how they don't think anyone can beat this team. That's laughable to me 13 games into the season. And I have a bad feeling we will be eating crow when we run into that team down the hall.

We may lose to the Clippers in the regular season but I'm not worried about Kawhi come Playoffs. As long as we contain PG, Kawhi will be hobbled and be easier to contain.

PG worried me, Kawhi does not. If we go into the playoffs healthy I'll be confident. That means AD needs to get healthy because right now he's not.

You know a team is scary good when the arguments against them is-
"Let's see what they look like playing together"
And
"Kawhi will be injured.."

You guys are hoping for the best because you know if both teams are at full strength they are stronger. Top to bottom. On both ends on the perimeter they got us beat. They got us beat in depth. We have the advantage on the inside but they can definitely shore that up with moveable assets, which we don't have. Hopefully they are injured if we meet them.

And on the contrary Clippers "fans" are likely saying the same about us. "We ain't worried about the Lakers, LeBron is gonna blow his knee out carrying that entire team every night"

Facts are facts, Kawhi is injured and will continue to be injured for the rest of his career. He has a degenerative condition, it won't ever go away. Trying to downplay the argument reeks of desperation.

Clipper fans are hoping for the best regarding Kawhi but most people know, after watching last years playoffs, and the beginning of this year, that Kawhi's decline is real.

People can cry about that all they want but it won't change anything *shrugs*

They've lost 3 more games because Kawhi's body is breaking down, and we're not even in the rigorous playoff part of the season yet.

Facts.
