Nothing wrong with asking boss, I just think the logic is off. Given that the circumstances and parties are different. Those differences matter.

I don't believe a man should ever put his hands on a woman. If you're trying to defend yourself I'd still recommend you exercise a great deal of caution and restraint in doing so.

Most of us have had interactions with women in which they're a bit too aggressive physically, those of us with decency understand that you don't match that physicality. This is why I don't believe your analogy works for this particular incident.

Here you go, here's another set of circumstances that might fit all of your criteria... who knows...

Rudy Tomjanovich

1) Happened on the playing field
2) Victim charged at perpetrator in an aggressive manner
3) If not for victim's aggressive actions, he wouldn't have gotten his face smashed in
4) Victim is a male

Hmmm. Who instigated it seems irrelevant in this case.

The retaliation went above and well beyond the initial instigating.

Wasn't my intent at all.. didn't mean to piss in the thread. I did withdraw from both exchanges when I felt it was going nowhere.

I will say this....I have never been one to side with Kap, but I did not like the smell of this whole workout to begin with for a couple of reasons.

- First, why was the NFL doing this if they did nothing wrong? They have never set up a league wide workout for an individual before that I can recall. It clearly felt suspicious and I leaned toward it being done to benefit the NFL, not Kap.

- why not let the media come? Why insisting on providing receivers if Kap had his own receivers? why not give Kap and his people a complete list of who was attending?

All that said, it was a huge opportunity for him to show that he could still play and not be a sideshow. His response was to be a problem and a compete sideshow. Almost 30 teams sent reps to watch him at their own expense. I think he is fine not playing in the NFL and continuing to get checks from Nike. I think he just continued to make poor choices today and I am pretty much done with him.

He managed to turn an ego driven temper tantrum against the Niners into a "social message" that transformed him from spoiled brat to an alleged "activist".

He's been all about himself through the whole process.

Everyone has a narrative they're pushing on this forum.. You do know what a narrative is right????????

What are you even talking about?????

This is an example of why I shut the exchange down with you..

saying that an opposite viewpoint is "ignoring context ONLY to push a particular narrative" and saying "there's no intent to piss on people" is kind of disingenuous.

And saying that your viewpoint is based on facts whereas the opposite viewpoint is merely just trying to push a narrative.....

Then turning around and saying - I didn't mean to piss anyone off...

The irony of playing the victim on the topic of instigators who shouldn't play victims...

People were having a reasonable discussion about the incident based on the facts as they are.

You jumped in to try and portray Rudolph as the instigator while accusing others of having an agenda.

When you were called out on that nonsense, you doubled down by going into victim mode and trying to paint others as being unreasonable . . .

Your intent was obvious, no matter how much you try to claim otherwise.

You guys are tiresome at times.. Think!!.. Did Rudolph get beat with a helmet? No, he didn't..

Also when you ignore the fact that Rudolph tried to remove Myles's helmet, and charged at him while he was being restrained by two other players, you are ignoring context.

You guys act like you cant simply disagree amicably..

There are no victims in this forum, nor was I attacked.. You're being silly. Disagreeing with me is fine, which I communicated on more than one occasion.. So your comment on me playing a victim role is pretty ridiculous.

I never said anything about people pushing an agenda, I said your narratives are off if you're ignoring context to formulate it.

Don't try to tell me what my intent was.. You don't know me, nor are you in my head. I've made it clear what it was.

You dudes need to learn how to disagree without getting bent out of shape.

Seems you can't quite move on. Whatever you felt you've already made clear, seems you are attempting to make more clear?

@LongBeachPoly..

We've both established where we stand.. I think you can acknowledge the effort I made in keeping our exchange civil.

You've made your position clear, I totally understand it. I'm okay with you not agreeing with me, as I've already told you. Where else is there for us to go in this exchange?

We don't agree and it's all good.. Is that not okay with you boss?

Clearly, you don't need my approval for what it is that you do on this board. I can only respond to what I see posted....

I see you claiming you ended the exchange last night. Here you are again, re-engaged.

If it was over for you yesterday, why are you here today asking me if it's ok for it to be over today?

Your definition of "over" and "ended" must be different than what the dictionary says.

And the part about being "civil". When has it not been? Anybody cuss anybody out? Anybody get personal or use derogatory terms? It's been strictly kept on point and on topic. In my view, it hasn't gotten "un-civil"
