Not impressed with Jake Fromm at all, in terms of NFL prospect evaluation. Like a Jake Browning clone. NFL backup at best.

Tua has been airlifted to a hospital in Birmingham to get surgery on his hip. When people are comparing your injury to Bo Jackson's that's not a good sign.

At least he's not a running back, and medical science has advanced much further in the nearly 30 years since Bo got injured, but it sounds like a pretty serious injury. I hope the kid recovers.

It's all over in Murfreesboro. Middle Tennessee ends the War Owls bid for a perfect season, losing to Rice 31-28. Middle Tennessee spots the War Owls a 17-0 lead in the first half and just can't quite get it all back. Middle Tennessee goes for the lateral play as time expires, but they can't make it work against a determined band of aerial predators.

Tonight, the Blue Raiders have red faces.

As a bonus, check out this guy, who has a truly great college football name. He may be a rarely used backup tight end on a 1-9 team in a Group of 6 conference, but someone should draft him anyway.

It appears that Baylor is making it's statement to the committee.

And Brewer is making a statement as well.

I saw the score earlier and smiled....Rice wins!

and Bo's injury had a lot of complications beyond the hip pointer....there was blood vessel and nerve damage issues that I think are not standard with the injury. That said, I have heard Bo speak of the injury and the initial pain, and Tua appeared to be in similar pain.

Joint pain is excruciating. I fractured my shoulder and it was overwhelmingly painful.

I can't imagine what it would be like with a bad hip injury.

I do not get it....this is one of the worst WVU teams in my lifetime and we beat Baylor everywhere but on the scoreboard. Brewer was solid, but we sacked him 8 times. If we had any type of offense that day, we win that game by 3 TD's. Speaking of WVU and offense....I have been calling for a QB change since game 1 and it finally happened today.....the result is we went to Manhattan, KS as double figure underdogs and knocked off #24 Kansas State 24-20! The new QB threw for 3 TD's and it even opened up the running game. It never should have taken this long.

Baylor better keep scoring in the 2nd half because Oklahoma will likely continue to score.

They’ll meet again in the conference championship game.

The way the Big 12 is set up sucks. Only way for the Big 12 to make the playoffs is for Baylor/Oklahoma to beat the other team twice.

which is why I think the Big12 should not have a conference Championship game. We have the round robin schedule, and the odds are too high to simply split the series. Does anyone really want to see Oklahoma and Baylor again in a couple weeks?

They used to not have the conference championship game and that ended with them not getting a playoff bid a few years ago so they changed it

Yeah Oklahoma winning the conference title knocks out both teams from the playoffs (assuming they lose tonight)

If I was Florida State or any P5 school looking for a head coach, I would consider Rich Rodriguez. The guys offense @ Ole Miss just hung 37 on LSU. I have always thought the guy is an offensive genius.

btw, I see the narrative is beginning to sell Scott Frost and Nebraska stock. Send it this way, I will buy all of it. It may take another year or even 2....but he will be contending for Big10 West championships (are they called division championships?) @ Nebraska soon. I do not know if he can get them in the national conversation annually again, or even win the Big10 more than once a deade....but he will get them winning 8+ games a year.

I guess Nebraska agrees with me....they gave Frost a 2 year extension.

Baylor's in pretty good shape though. Lots of time, only down by 3

Huge missed tackle, Baylor down to OK's 40

0:34 sec
