H.D. IS A PRETTY GOOD REBOUNDER AND BLOCKS SHOTS, SMILES ALL THE TIME.

OH, SORRY. I'm at home watching old movies, I think I had a misconnection in time there.

I'd sooner sign Lance "Air Guitar" Stephenson to be backup center to Kuz than sign Dwight onto this roster.

He had the keys to the city waiting for him. He then broke the keys off in the locks and smeared bubble gum and mud all over them.

Dwight lost all his L.A. privileges YEARS ago.

Even if it's to sign him, sit him on the bench... trade him to the east at the deadline... we must keep him from the Clippers at all costs.

This team has older players who will keep him in line.

You can't poison a locker room already filled with hot headed, strong willed players.

Keep him away from the Clippers.

You will all thank me later if you take your bias off for a few moments.

I voted Yes (assuming it's for the minimum).

1 - Cheap insurance/extra load management.
2 - Can still rebound & defend
3 - Keeps him off the Clippers

Is that one... umm... chick still mad at a Dwight?

Also, is he recovered from his injury (general butt soreness). That the proper term right?

I voted No (at any price)

1. Bad teammate.
2. Doesn't fit our team and too old to change.
3. We don't need his personal issues becoming a distraction.
4. I'm more concerned with our own roster than trying to figure out who the Clippers may or may not covet. Are they really in people's heads that much?

Dwight vs AD

Dwight's won the head to head match up 10-6

His FG% was 16% higher than ADs

He outrebounded him and had more blocks.

Keep him away from the Clippers.

How do you figure Dwight is covering Cousins and AD at the same time?

He doesn't but we have a clear advantage with our bigs... and he reduces that advantage assuming he's not crippled by injury.

The only time he played AD and Cousins head to head... he outscored both of them.

It's Ripley's... but it's true.

He also lost.

But yeah, I'm really worried about that potential Zu/Howard twin towers line up.

Last I saw they both still have lawsuits pending against each other as of a few months ago. We don't need that kind of distraction.

Cannot think of a worse reason to sign a player let alone someone with the reputation of Dwight Howard.

If teams were that concerned about Dwight joining the Clippers someone would have scooped him up when he cleared waivers like we did with Avery.

We all want to stick it to the Clippers but the focus remains on winning a championship.

The Clippers are one of the top five obstacles to a championship.

I agree with most of what you guys are saying... he's been a locker room cancer... he's no longer what he was... he disrespected the Lakers.

But if we can't get Iggy, it's a good strategy to sign him and keep him away from one of our biggest rivals.

Almost everyone who responds does so with an emotional answer... I've been there... I've made many an emotional comment myself on this board.

The logical answer still is to keep him from any Western conference rivals

His ability to destroy team morale seems very unlikely after what this team has been through... they already have gone through pissing off Zubac, Bogut, Beasley, Randle... the core... this management clearly gives no f*cks about anyone's feelings... I don't see how whining Dwight would even faze anyone.

It's a pure logic decision and I'm glad at least a few here get it.

NO to Howard.

Lakers are going to be dealing with enough headcases and egos to try to absorb Howard's overblown sense of self worth.

Love the logic of keeping him from the clippers. If he is a disruptive teammate why not let him disrupt their team.

In the end, the Lakers have enough to worry about getting their own team playing together and stable to start worrying about what other teams are doing.

Nahhhhh

Even if he didn't burn bridges, why would we need him? He probably won't get minutes behind Boogie and McGee

So it’s logical to sign a player that we don’t need over one we do need in order to keep him from a rival? How about just addressing our weaknesses?

I kinda understand keeping him from the clippers... But he would still be a nuisance in the locker room. He still thinks his name goes hand and hand with lebron.

Forget it...but thank you Dwight for shunning our max offer. You did us a huge favor!
