Aside from the end of them bench guys the team is essentially the same at the top. Kobe, gasol, Bynum, Odom, metta, fish
If you’re not interested in discussing it just stay out of the thread. Why do people always feel the need to (bleep) on everyone else’s ideas and interests? It’s annoying. _________________ “like I never left”

If (and that's a big IF) this team is 80% as good as the 2010 we've got as good a shot as any to make the finals. _________________ Not a legend |

Barring any injury, AD and Bron are gonna (bleep) on everyone. I don't think Kobe and Pau were that imposing at the time. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |

Everything is a big if right now, we won’t know until next season. The best we can do is guess and use our imagination to think of rotations, who starts, how will the chemistry work.
We have a lot of players who have already played together before, so the chemistry might come along a lot faster than most teams that are just thrown together.
The point is that the two teams share a lot of similarities. Dominant wing, twin towers, hybrid 3/4 potentially off the bench who’s borderline allstar talent _________________ “like I never left”

Kinda agree with this. Hopefully we have the type of chemistry that team had _________________ “like I never left”

Unproven squad versus a championship team. Easy choice. |

This team has a lot of championship/winning experience on the roster
Lebron has rings
Green has rings
Rondo has rings
Cook won a national championship with duke (did he win one with GSW?)
Davis won a national championship with Kentucky
2012 Olympic winners on the team
Javale has rings
Between last years lakers, the pelicans from a couple years ago, and team USA. A lot of our players have played together before and won.
I’m excited about this team! _________________ “like I never left”

This Lakers team is the closest to the 2010 Lakers team in terms of style and build but I'm going with the 2010 team.... damn now i feel |

2010, no question. If the 2020 team actually wins the title, then we'll talk. But as it sits right now? No contest. Better coaching, better offensive and defensive chemistry, plus terrific roster balance with Pau, Odom, Artest, Kobe, Fish, Sasha, Shannon Brown, even Luke all able to fill multiple roles on D and/or O. |

Phil >>> Vogel
Kobe (33) <<< Lebron (34)
Gasol(31) <<< AD (26)
Bynum (off injury) <<< Boogie (off injury)
Odom (31) >>> Kuzma (24)
Artest (31) <<< Danny Green (33)
Matt Barnes >>> Avery Bradley
Fisher (37) <<< Rondo (33)
Joe Smith, Theo Ratliff <<< Javale McGee
Sasha, Shannon, Blake <<< KCP, Cook, Dudley
2020 lakers would win, quite easily. |

Yeah I’m taking the 2020 Lakers on talent, however it doesn’t mean much as the West is MUCH deeper than it was in 2010/2011
Until we win a chip with this squad Kobe’s team was better _________________ #18 next... |

It is difficult but I will go with 2010 Lakers. They were in that moment team ready for anything. Kobe was sensational and Lamar was perfect bench player. Pau was in his prime.
And of course Kobe or LBJ for me it was never even close. I would always choose team with Mamba. |

For Kobe's repeat squads, "the whole was more than the sum of its parts." We won't know if 2020 will reach those heights til next June. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Results will always skew to the 2010 team in this poll.
But it’s not because people think it is better ... |

Disagree. In 2010, if you weren't a 50 win team, you weren't making the playoffs out west. Extremely competitive. The east is where a .500 record is all you needed to make the playoffs. We're talking about a 10 game difference. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

It’s not the records.
He’s referring to the quality of the top 8 in the West. |

oh okay you raggedy charlatan, then why are they picking the 2010 team if not for that reason? _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."
