Clippers fans fall into the following categories:

- Fans of other teams who relocated to LA and embraced the Clippers because they always hated the Lakers.

- People who couldn't afford to go to Lakers games and found a way to watch other NBA teams for cheap by getting discounted Clippers tickets. Being at a game and not rooting for any team is not fun, so naturally they started rooting for the home team and calling themselves Clippers fans.

- People who consider themselves contrarians who like being unpopular just because they don't want to be a part of the crowd.

- Children whose parents fall into one of the three above categories.

I use to root for the Clippers when they weren't playing the Lakers. Now I want them to lose to everybody. I'm a Angeleno.

I used to root for the Clippers as an LA team - never with love like I have for my Lakers. But that all stopped during the Blake Griffin years when they started acting like arrogant pompous aholes and Griffin ran up to Phil Jackson and shouted something arrogant and obnoxious at him. Plus, Clippers fans REALLY became so rude and disrespectful, that that was it. I started to root against the Clippers and cannot stand them now!

Can we guess who they are? I'd lay down money on two of them.

For years I've been getting offered free tickets. I mostly reject them, but occasionally go if its an opponent I want to watch. I make sure to wear my Laker hat though. I will never support those bums.

You forgot people who champion the underdog. The only reason people are Clippers fans is because we are taught, espeically in this day in age, to celebrate David and fear/loath Goliath.

People who root for the underdog are not fans of a specific team because a team cannot always suck, even the Clippers. There have been years when Clippers had a better team, compared to the Lakers. A couple years ago Lakers would be considered underdogs in their match up against the Clippers. Therefore the person who roots for the Clippers is a contrarian first and foremost and not a champion of the underdog.

My Clippers hate runs deeper than that. They've had some arrogant players over the years, including Elton Brand, Chris Kaman, Corey Maggette, Baron Davis, even before the Lob City. The only Clippers player I respected was Eric Piatkowski.

The dippers are just a nice cinderalla team that everyone outside of Lakers, Raps, and Spurs fans like to root for. They are the guys with a shiny new FO who took the big bad Warriors to 6 games, and are led by the guy who "saved" the league from the big bad superteams. It will be annoying to listen to this all year but make it that much sweeter when we send them packing to their usual offseason vacation spot.

A casual fan is a fan of both teams. A real sports fan roots for their team. This is a no for me more so than other sports because of the leagues crying and disdain of the lakers. Also because somehow the clippers think they are better than the lakers even though they have been the doormat of the league throughout their existence while the league pushes for the clippers just because of their hate for the other LA team. It’s just infuriating thinking about it, he’ll no for the clips. I would go to their game just to see other teams as an nba fan and prob root for them to lose .

I watch more Sparks basketball than Clippers. I don't hate them but I would like to see them move out of the city.
