I'm a die hard Laker fan but I did watch a lot of Clipper games as a young fan because A) Laker tickets are sooooo expensive and harder to get B) I can see the players of other teams that I wanted to watch.

Naturally, I rooted for the Clippers whenever they played teams other than the Lakers. So there you have it. I always want the best for the Lakers no matter what but I did root for the Clippers at one point.

Don't judge me

Pre and post CP3 I was rooting for them to do well but that didn't mean I wanted them to win a championship. I'm not sure if I like or dislike Ballmer so that influences my hesitance to want to root for them now.

I would love to face them in the playoffs though. I guess I hope they do well but just not as good as the Lakers

I am a Lakers fan first. But if the Lakers are out of the playoffs and the Clippers are in it then I do find myself rooting for the Clippers. Just like if the Dodgers are out then I root for the Angels and if the Kings are out then I root for the Ducks.

I got hit by a car and broke my right leg completely in half in 1969. I was in traction for 6 weeks and a body cast for 3 month from September through January. We only had ABC, NBC, and CBS to watch and at that time they had the NBA Game of the Week (usually tape delayed). The Lakers had West, Goodrich, and Wilt and they were on quite a lot. Living in Ohio (before the Cav's), it was OK to root for an out of state team and they became my favorites. They entertained me while I was immobile. I have followed them ever since.

Buck the Clippers.
Chuck the Clippers.
Duck the Clippers.
Muck the Clippers.
Puck the Clippers.
Shuck the Clippers.
Truck the Clippers.

I've thought about this a lot. Sports in general, when you're a fan of a certain team, seem like exercises in anti-humanity. Think about it: you're overjoyed that your team won, which by extension means the fan of the losing team is going to feel crushed. Hardly a win-win. Wouldn't our world be much more peaceable if everyone was cheering for everybody?

I'm in LA. My first love was the Lakers and I always seem to find myself rooting for them...but I am trying to train myself to root for the Clippers too. We're lucky here. I should be able to root for two teams!

(And inspire the world)

I thought my Clipper hatred peaked during the Lob City days but I was wrong. This is a higher level.

I've been to Clippers games... I have no animosity towards them now that Sterling is gone... but I naturally root against them as a Lakers fan.

If I had jumped ship it would have been to New Orleans not the Clippers even with Kawhi and PG.

They are a good organization... but they will siphon agents away from us in the future if strong... so we should root for them to lose.

I actually never hated the Clippers until now. Not even during the lob city days. Ive had more of a feeling of pity and ambivalence towards them. They have been like the little brother who tried so hard to be better than you but just didnt have the innate abilities to ever succeed.
But now after this stunt Kawhi pulled I have full on hate for them.

Rooting for the Clippers and Lakers may be worse than being a LeBron bandwagon fan, who jumps from team to team with him. Aside from the usual rivals like the Celtics and Spurs, Clippers are now in the mix. Even if they weren't a rival in the same city, I consider every single team in the league, other than the Lakers, as an enemy.

tf? Just because they've just signed 2 quality FA to their team doesn't mean people know who they are now. Clippers are like the WNBA. Nobody knows about them and nobody cares. In LA, there is only the Lakers.

I can tell you with 100% certainty as a 39 year old living across the country that I have literally never met or seen a Clippers fan in person.
