Not only that but New York is a hell of a lot easier to sell to free agents compared to OKC, which only acquires players of value thru trades or the draft.

He'll go to an Eastern Conference team; Miami would be an interesting destination if Dragic & Johnson get moved.

Thunder are collecting draft picks, and who better to collect draft picks from than a bad team whose picks are high?

NY be on fire

December:
Knox, Mitchell, Nkitilina, Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis, Bullock, Elfrid Payton, Wayne Ellington, 2-3 1st rd pick for Westbrook, Steven Adams and salary dumps

This is a typical Knicks move. They own all their first round picks. And they'll trade them all.

Unfortunately since the Nets have become the must watch NBA team in the NYC, they might not have a choice.

Miami is looking like a serious contender for Russel Westbrook now.

I think its a great fit for him.

I give him and Butler about a week before they want to kill each other.

Please let it happen! We could use some comic relief in the NBA section.

Im at a lost as to why anyone would give up value to trade for Westbrook. I view him as a net negative asset. Yes he's "only" 30 but I cant see him changing the type of player he is. And that contract...

Only way Westbrook will win a ring anytime soon is if he some team buys out his contract and lets him sign with a contender for a bargain basement price. His contract is toxic like CP3.

Brian Windhorst said on his podcast that Lebron and Russ became very good friends in the last year or so, apparently they are hanging out a lot in the offseason.

I know we can't trade for him now, but maybe we can somehow get him next year if he gets traded to some team and things go south.

For now, i think that Miami is best landing spot for him.

Houston can trade CP3 for him (with picks) and pair Westbrook with Harden again. If Westbrook goes to Miami, his career is over.

Wizards for John Wall.
Will help with the OKC tank and reunite Scott Brooks with Westbrook.

Ha, i got the idea from an article i read (that CP3 and Westbrook's contracts were close in value), and i thought it made sense for Houston. Let's see how they mesh together now.
