Green has always been a streaky shooter. He'll go 0 for 12, and then 9 for 12. Over the course of the season it will average out OK.

Sobering thought when thinking about a playoff series, though

Well, he has the record for most three's in a finals series so just think of that instead.

I was speaking to his streakiness, not his ability

Yeah, I know and I was saying he might get hotter than the sun and win us a playoff series all by himself (Lets hope for a repeat of what he did against the Clips).

He's elite defensively and he doesn't screw you offensively most nights.

You are not wrong. He could definitely get hot and win a game or two in the playoffs for us with just his shooting

I don’t disagree.
I was merely replying to the statement of him going 0-10 before going 8-10 and the like.
I’m happy to have him on the squad

Folks need to realize though this does not mean he will go 2-5 every night.

It means some nights 3-5 and some nights 1-5 and some nights 4-5 and some night 0-5.

To you and me but read the thread. “He’s hot and cold”, “streaky”.

That’s not a Danny Green thing. That’s every 3 and D player even those who shoot a high percentage. When you have limited volume you get more swings.

I have never been more proud of a Laker than Danny Green. I love this guy and I think he is the glue on the team. His professionalism is insane, same with Kawhi... Pop is truly a great coach. This guy is always going 100% and making the right play.... make it rain ranger.

Everytime Green shoots, I think its going in. Every time.

He's been struggling a bit but he has a bit of that Fisher/Horry in that he's hit timely shots during a run.

I think he'll be just fine come playoff time

I hope so. Danny has had some pretty poor postseasons lately.

Wasn't he supposed to be part of the Big 3? I don't see it. We need more scoring from him

I dunno if you’re serious but he’s not that type player.

Green's career average is 9 ppg on 43% shooting and 41% on threes, which is close to what he's doing this season. His career high in 11 seasons is 11.7 ppg.

That's who Green is -- a good 3-point shooter and defender, but not a star and not a big scorer.

Anyone who expected him to produce more than he is now doesn't really know his game.

Eh? I mean he should've hit a few more shots tonight, but he is not a go-to scorer. His value is 3&D.

I think it’s a product of our teams depth to be honest. Think he just needs to keep doing what he’s doing. When he gets the ball, put it in the hole. Play solid defense.

We really don’t need our veteran guys to do more than they are asked of.

Our team, however, will go to the next level if guys like Caruso and Kuzma keep developing.

Our vets though, have been pretty solid so far and being productive in all facets.

“Danny? I didn’t know he could dunk, honestly,” Kyle Kuzma said.
“(bleep), me neither,” Danny Green says from nearby.

Danny Green, the ultimate professional. Popovic is a great coach for player development. All of his players are similar in attitude, being quiet, humility, defensive minded and being a team player.
