(I like the way he presents himself. 4 years helps.)

If you're 6-foot-10, can shoot 38.2% on 3s for a four-year career in the Southeastern Conference and can chew gum, you're going to be attractive to NBA scouts. That explains why Holman can expect to hear his name called sometime late in the two-round selection process.

Aric Holman (PF/C – Mississippi State) – Holman has good size for an NBA big, and he’s an excellent defender. He has a decent post game and can step outside to make a three. He drained 43.5 percent of his shots from beyond the arc over his final two seasons at Mississippi State.

he's known as a lazy defender. some good tools there and flashes but overall more flawed than good there

Missing that motivation factor? A Noel type of thing?

I really don't know. I haven't watched any of his games I'm just going off what i've heard. I like his highlights and have him top 60 based on that. Idk if it's motivation or stamina for him, but he has tools! he's got rim protection instincts at least

The fact that he didnt start as a 4th year senior is somewhat worrisome.

this is where having Hollins in the fold can be beneficial. He can be the bad cop demanding 110% effort at all times from all the rank and file players.
Really like this pickup

Dare I say, I see some similarities in his quick/high release, shooting stroke, and body frame to KD? With his size (6’10”, 225) and shooting (>40% from 3 over his last two seasons), this dude is a very intriguing pickup.

He did start the first 20 games as a senior. But for some reason starting game 21 vs Ole Miss, Holman went to the bench.

Quote:

Perry started in place of senior Aric Holman, who has been inconsistent over the past few weeks. [Coach Ben] Howland said he believes Holman has been "pressing too much" and wanted him to relax. Holman had no points and two rebounds against Ole Miss in a season-low nine minutes.

Nice.
One positive... perhaps Ben Howland was the problem?
