Signing Cacok to a 2-way was a no-brainer. Dude has been killing it with the SBL. It's clear that we're going to hold on to Kostas for political reasons, so Norvell ended up being the casualty. Norvell still has a lot of potential, but Norvell's struggles so far along with the great play we've been receiving from our guard corps made him expendable. Hopefully, he still sticks with the team even though he lost his 2-way deal.

If he stays, that must be weird for the locker room, "Who took my 2-way contract??"

Happy for Cacock, he’s deserving.

Still very surprising that it was Norvell. They must be all in on this Giannis at all cost pursuit.

This may be. If Giannis gets with Klutch than that’s when you know it’s going down lol

Ummm... I liked Norvell. I like CaCk also but not as much. We have a bunch of bigs not enough ball handlers and creators. I thought he was a rodney hood type obviously not as good.

I think this whole Giannis pursuit is a huge shot in a dark with little chance of hitting
He dont seem like the kind of player who would want to join anyone's team. Heck he dont even join other stars in scrimmages during the summer.

It is a huge long shot, but losing Norvell for a long shot isn’t a big deal. He’s shown very little. He looked good in preseason against a Warriors team that we now know is historically bad, and has been god awful in the G League. Cacok has more than earned the 2 way over Norvell, and a tiny chance at improving our odds for Giannis is worth more than Norvell has shown so far. Best of luck to the kid.

This is the way.

I’m more confident in FO and coaching staff if this is indeed the plan.

After shooting 30% from 3 in November he has shot over 40% for Dec. and Jan, on close to 8 attempts per game. He has been a lot more efficient with his scoring.

Hopefully he gets time in with Handy to develop the rest of his game and is not poached by another team.

Still think it was a mistake to give Cacock his two-way spot. I can easily see Norvell excelling in the league.

Cacock is balling though. I wish GLeague was more like baseball minor league where the pro team has their rights. Seems unfair that a team could find a diamond in the rough, develop them, watch them grow, and then another team takes them. Not saying Norvell is a future star or anything, but it seems this system punishes teams who do a good job of scouting/development.

Kudos to Zach Norvell Jr. tonight.

He scored on two treys and nabbed 4 rebounds for the GSW v Lakers in a losing cause.

He looks like a roster player.
Look around the league and notice the players (Svi, Wagner,Bonga, etc) who the Lakers have identified as NBA level guys.)

Is there any way South Bay would likely be interested now that his 10-day hasn't been picked up?
