he transformed KCP from being a mediocre 42.6% fg shooter in 2017 to a monster 43.0 % in 2018

lol

Did he also work with Kuz to drop his 3pt% from a rookie to last year?

Anywho, if true: welcome to the Lakers!

LethalShooter is a personal shooting coach for a lot of players. I can't speak on his track record but I just know he's pretty respected amongst players.

He’s my least favorite shooting coach hopefully he can replicate that KCP success with others. I just think he bases most of his insight off of his own jumper which is a heavily 2parted stroke. All of his technique/teaching seems to cater to that stroke. He’s against some techniques that others shooting coaches teach, and it doesn’t seem to be for good reason just lack of study/seeing it work really.
If he gets Kuz around league average I’ll stop doubting him

KCP made a turn around mid-season and I recall he started with this guy at that point. He wasn't his coach all season that I know of.

Well that's disappointing to hear especially coming from you. What do you personally think about his jumper, though?

It goes in a lot.. but it has a ton of wasted motion considering he takes it far on top of his head.. which takes longer. He doesn’t teach that to his clients but all of his tips for techniques that compliment a stroke motion seem to be things that help his stroke specifically. Like he’s against the hand being under the ball, and a player’s first step after he shoots being a relaxed step backwards. These things don’t work for his cumbersome form specifically, but work for other players, other shooting coaches teach these things. I think being a shooting coach is about having a big toolbag, and finding what fits that player’s form. He seems outright against a lot of tools.....

Maybe try doing some research before trashing the guy. He's a very well known celebrity shooting coach. There are lots of celebrity clients, college athletes and NBA players he's worked with. He's worked with Steph, KCP, Candace Parker, Nolan Smith, Kent Bazemore, Stephen Jackson and many others.

Please stop bashing this guy. I actually know him and he's a great dude. From my area near Washington D.C

I have done research what do you think I’m doing - I’m comparing his teaching techniques to other shooting coaches. I know he has a nice customer base. He isn’t Steph’s shooting coach though, and wasn’t the guy who fixed Bazemore’s shot - that wasn’t ATLs shooting coach there was a popular Ringer article about it. Why does researched critique have to be bashing or hate

One would have to assume that it was Earvin's call. He was probably more concerned about body fat than a jump shot.

I know several of his clients love the guy and credit him with marked improvement in their shots. He and Steph are great friends and Bazemore started the year off shooting terribly. Bazemore was in a slump to start the season last year and was shooting 28% from the 3pt line until December 2018. The next 11 games after working he shot 38% from 3 and finished the year out shooting 35% after a late season slump. The guy that was called was Lethal Shooter.

KCP was in a similar funk and the next 6 games after working with him shot 45% from 3. KCP exploded from the 3pt line after working with him including several 30pt games to end the season.

The guy has a ever growing resume and if you did your "research" you'd recognize it. Give him a chance. Kuzma is going to have a great shooting year.

Hopefully he worked with Kuz after this current season ended. If it was before, I'm not sure that's a ringing endorsement.

The guy

Na Baze finished the year 32% and was 30% his last 3 months of attempts. Did finish 10/22 his last 22 attempts though ..?
We know about KCP.
I’m not sure if he’s a good shooting coach, but just comparing his techniques to others - it differs and I prefer the others personally. You can love your mans though
