I like Luke, I really do, but Vogel feels like an actual coach. Luke, especially in hindsight, feels like he was a friend who got hiredbecause he knows the boss but had no idea of how to do then job other than learning on youtube. |

and one of the key issues with luke was his choice of assistants
some real assistants really could have mitigated his inexperience, etc

It's not like every team is going to be the Mavs, so I think we can get those minutes back down. |
+1.
Im also concerned about LBJ minutes creeping up.
Its nice to see him have these games, but the seasons a marathon and our team has to build that killer instinct out the gate and put teams away early.
Especially with the easier schedule we have in the 1st 20 games. |
So in your opinion, neither of them should have played the overtime? That would have given them 37 minutes if the game ended in regulation. _________________ Don't make me give you a trout slap! |

Only Vogel didn’t select them. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

All valid points!!! I was rooting for Luke and excited they hired him. Hopefully he finds success.
I actually like the coaching staff except the Kidd hire because he seems to be lurking in the background for the gig but hopefully that’s not the case |

If Danny Green could have hit a four instead of a three they would have played 5 minutes less (38 each). |

I actually like Kidd on the bench as an assistant... just as long as that's where he stays and never in the HC seat.
But yeah, we were all clamoring for Luke to sign some actual assistants. His stubbornness really did him in. Then again, he's 1-4 with actual assistants now so there's that lol |

Any rational person would surmise that this is somehow, someway, Jeannie's fault. |

Luke is a very likeable person the kind of fella you want to succeed but he's just not a good NBA coach. |

Luke got his rep from a stacked Warrior team. He's 1-5 on the season with the Kings. Their roster is better than that. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

We've seen our top end is elite, but we only have six bonafide playoff rotation caliber players (LeBron, Davis, Green, Kuzma, Bradley and Dwight). Caruso is showing he might be that too and you could talk me into Dudley in a pinch. We still need one more guy (Iguodala please) and for the back end of that group to play to their potential. Could use two more honestly, but one would be great. |

Hopefully more than only 46% of us like the Vogel hiring now.
If this keeps up, serious COY candidate. |

Frank has already led the league in defensive rating twice as a headcoach. We are currently 2nd in the NBA. |

I love the fact that they continually talk about being the best defensive team in the league. Not simply one of the best, but the best. And they're flat out getting it done so far. They know how to reslly lock a team up on that end and get a run going. It's so fun to watch. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Ehh, my motto with coaches is "too much blame, too much credit." You gotta have the horses. What would Frank do with last years line-up, or the year before? He wasn't too good with the babies in Orlando. When it comes to coaches, I'm not good at giving props, but I'm great at complaining. LOL!
The only props I've gone above and beyond to hand out to is MDA, which many of you don't like. I just think he gets the most out of scrubs than any coach in history. And his system gives mvps to soft super stars who don't play any D in Nash and Harden. James Harden would have never knocked on the door in the WCF under Mchale or any other coach.
I do like Voge's substitution decisions better than Luke though. |

Lebron is averaging 35 minutes a game right now. That sounds about right for Oct/Nov when everyone's fresh and healthy.
I'd lower his minutes after Christmas until maybe early March to keep him fresh for the playoffs. I don't like the idea of sitting out either Lebron or especially AD for "load management" unless they're actually hurt. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Curious to see how he load manages that mega tough b2b @Utah and @ Den in a couple weeks before really singing his praise. |
