^ Same. The first 10 minutes of episode 1 had me hooked. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

The return of Becky!

Now I'll ever be able to look at the poor guy manning the newsstand without wondering how long he's been holding his pee.

I just finished it last week. There are some great actors and there are some great scenes, but the interstitials are hit and miss and some of the dialog is just too over the top. First episode was definitely compelling (although I really could have done without the nude scene), but I found that some aspects of the series really got tedious as it went on.

Well that's disappointing to hear given the source.

But I agree, GILF porn has it's place, that just wasn't it.

After thinking about it further, that scene is sort of a microcosm of what kept it from being great. I can understand the shock value of it and what it communicated, but 3 or 4 minutes of it was completely unnecessary.

The New Pope. I missed the first season but caught season 2 and it was very entertaining. The last 3 episodes were fantastic, right up there with Mad Men. At only 9 episodes it is a very good watch.

That opening to Curb last night had me dying. The rest of the episode not so much but the commercial plus the lunch with Freddie were great.

I discovered this new limited series, apparently on Amazon Prime, called ZeroZeroZero. It's amazing (from the creators of the Italian crime show Gomorrah).

Amazon Prime's Zerozerozero is excellent. Deserves award consideration for sure. Best thing I've seen on tv for a while.

Tonight's episode of Westworld is the best one they've made since season 1 IMO.
But if you've given up on the show, it's not one you could easily hop back in to. You'd have to at least watch a season 2 recap on Youtube and then watch the first 2 episodes of this season (which aren't nearly as good as tonight's).

This story has no good guys, just disturbed, dysfunctional characters, or at least the major characters. The true victims are the big cats, I just wish they (the big cats) just attack everyone.

That's when I dropped it too. But maybe I'll give it another shot given that I have nothing but time these days.

I finished Ozark season 3 and it was just as good as the others, if not better. I don’t want to spoil since it’s been out for only 3 days but maybe in a week we can all discuss.

I also started watching The Last Czar on Netflix. I’m really enjoying it even though it’s kind of an odd way to make a show; it’s half a documentary with real images and voiceovers and then half an actual show with actors playing all of the historical characters. It’s a really interesting piece of history though.

I have three episodes to go, and I agree. It's been great.

If they stick to this formula, they can make a few more seasons and I don't think I'll get tired of it.

I'm glad, sad to see Empire go. The plot was thinning, I like some of the characters. Love me some Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) She played that character to the hilt. 6 years is a long run.

You guys have done it again. I never watched Ozark because I thought it was about the Ozarks. I'm watching E1 as I ink this. I'm gonna binge today.

EDIT: I'm on S1 E4. It's getting interesting.

I have yet to watch the season finale. It's been a great season, but I think they overdid the Ben character. While I understand the dynamic he brought to the season, it was the Ben show for a few episodes, which somewhat sucked the energy out of the last third of the season.

Wow, what a finale! I don't want to spoil it yet, but what happened is exactly what I wanted to happen.

Overall, great season. I hope there's another season down the line. With the way things are going, probably in 2022.
