First the Kemba connection and now the Butler connection, sounds like the Lakers have options and are gonna need to decide which one fits best on there team, at least that’s better then hearing talk of the Lakers completely striking out. |

Butler about to be on the wrong side of 30, has a history of being a difficult personality but can fill in both SG/SF and hit his free throws. |

I think we would have trouble pairing Lebron, Butler, and Ingram in the same lineup. |

It doesn't surprise me at all that the Lakers tried to trade for him before he went to Philadelphia. After all, this is a front office that didn't seem to really care about having three point shooters at the time. But, I think later on they realized that they (bleep) up, hence the Bullock and Muscala trades. Though, the latter trade was obviously not a good one. My point is, I think the front office realizes now that you cant just assemble a team with a bunch of dudes that like to isolate, take mid range shots, etc. So, im sorry Eric, but this article was probably a waste of time, LOL. At least i hope so, because like i said, you would think Jimmy is a horrible fit on this team, due to his lack of three point shooting. Now, if you trade Lebron/BI and surround Jimmy with a bunch of shooters then it's a different story! |

More like they are gonna need to figure out which one would actually love to be here! _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain

Kemba or Butler? Tough choice assuming KL, KD, KI, Klay are off the board... |

So predictable but as long as we make the playoffs. We will be right back at square one in 3-4 years. This is no dynasty in the making. It is a quick fix that we all have to endure for a while. _________________ Music is my medicine |

Getting Kemba, frees the Lakers of starting Zo and his 27% 3point shots and his injuries and allows the Lakers to trade him before owing him another $25mil the two season after the next one.. _________________ “Always remember... Perhaps Lakers can flip Kuz and Zo into Bradley Beal?
PF - LBJ
F - Butler
C - McGee
G - Beal
PG - Coby White
6th man - BI |

Isn't it basically our Plan A?
Or are we still pretending KD/Kawhi/Klay is a >.0000001% possibility? |

I like the thought of keeping expectations low, but obviously plan A is to go for the top guys
Don't kid yourself, LAL is in the race for Kawhi. We heard it last summer and Cris Carter (shares his agent) still thinks LAL. I think its between the LA teams. Just hoping Uncle Dennis helps us out. Lebron would hand him the keys to come here, he is unselfish and a passer anyways.
Perfect plan A: Get Kawhi
Use MLE on a C or Danny Green
Trade BI or Kuz for a C or a 3 and d guy, put other on the bench to lead bench unit |

I agree and would hope so, but everyone is saying KL is not coming!!
Also the fact that they traded Zu for nothing suggests that they already have a center in the bag. |

Butler fits the two-way type Maginka covet and keeps Lonzo as the head of the snake on D.
Also part of the NBA's secret wine club. _________________ Darvin |

Hard pass on Butler. He's getting older and has already showed signs of slowing down. On top of that are his chemistry issues wherever he lands (Bulls, Wolves, Sixers).
Lakers should go for Kemba, who is younger and a better fit for the team (good shooter, no team issues, clutch in the 4thQ). |

Anyone think Mitch and Jim could have flipped Mozgov and Deng’s deals for a disappointing Max guy like John Wall or Chris Paul? Kept DLO, Randle, Zubac, and Thomas Bryant? |
