And no one said he was, but please continue to make stuff up and ignore what has actually happened. It was a horrible deal that was the brainchild of our FO. |
The point is we trade a good B/up C for a poor return. This is a no-no period. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Or just giving up talent the Lakers actually needed.
If Zubac and McGee were on the roster next year, I wouldn't even worry about the 5 slot. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

People are saying Zubac isn't Shaq, no (bleep) you dunce. The fact of the matter is we gave up a solid contributor for our team for a bum. I honestly think if we had kept Zubac we would be in the playoff race or at least 7/8. Most of our losses after the ASG break came because we had no depth at the 5 and McGee wasn't doing (bleep) until recently. |

no disrespect but that man is a bonafide scrub
he can't play
he's got small hands he can't catch the ball
he's got bad feet he can't really move even though he's mobile doesn't really know what he's doing doesn't have a post move that he can put to memory and perform two times in a row
he's got no game whatsoever plays no defense
and you're asking me they gave up too much? please the los angeles clippers knew exactly what they were doing and kobe bryant should not be saying a word _________________ Kobe |

I gotta start using the word dunce more... it's solid.
I agree. Losing Zu really hurt us both on the court and I think chemistry wise all the young players saw another get traded who was being extremely productive.
Randle- 20/10
Russell- 21/4/7
Zubac- 17/7 (leading up to trade)
I mean, Magic just burned right through those guys and that doesn't even mention JC and Nance who are both productive.
Embarrassingly bad deal(s). Hoping Magic steps down on his own right away and we go get Jerry. |

When Elon musk laughs at you, pay attention. When billy the hobo who lives in the trash can by the 7-11? Not so much. |

I dunno about the "inetable" part. Dry-aged steak can be quite delicious. And well-aged wine and spirits are yummy too. |

Smart talent evaluators would notice that. We don't have any in our front office. They only know about obvious super stars and past their prime guys with name recognition. |

In many ways, Magic is running the Lakers the way LA is stereotypically perceived. Star hungry, name droppers, groupies. No seeing the big picture or enjoying the small victories along the way. |

I knew after the trade was done that there was no way the Clippers called the Lakers, there was no way they would have known Zubac was available for Muscala and Dave McMenamin confirmed it was our brainiacs who surprised the Clippers.

Unless we land a massive free agent this off season many of the ridiculous moves already made will somehow look even massively worse as crazy as that sounds.. at the same time though, landing one of them will help put a band aid on at least several even though a trade like the Zubac one just simply makes absolutely zero sense for the now or the future.
the worst part about all this is I genuinely can't even argue against friends or family that hate the lakers this season because almost everything they say is true |

That's the scary thing: the 2nd max might be just a band aid.
It's not going to make Magic or Pelinka understand how to build a team much better.
Who's to say they don't pull more stupid zubac trades in the future? |

If Lakers can't get any free agents to bite, we might have to rebuild again to fix our screwed up rebuild.....thanks Magic. |

Nope but if he does step down/get fired then he should at least have that "tragic" moniker attached to his non-player days.
Magic the coach/host/FO shouldn't be associated with the word "magic". |
Being a terrible GM or coach will pretty much ruin a lot of good feelings one might have towards a star player. It doesn't diminish their playing career but we realize their talent as a player doesn't extend over to the running of a team. |

Some of us have been shouting in the wind about this, that we should look to Jordan and Isiah Thomas and Elgin Baylor as history, especially considering Magic's questionable talent evaluation on twitter and failure as a coach. |
