Quote: | The Lakers need to project stability going into yet another critical offseason if they hope to attract a second superstar to pair with James. After Paul George ignored the Lakers last summer, most league insiders believe the biggest names in this year’s loaded class of free agents will follow his lead.

Has anyone noticed that Bill Oram has been on a negative spree regarding the Lakers? |

To an extent, I agree with the article. KD, Kyrie, Klay and Kawhi are most likely not coming. Same with Butler. Kemba and Vuc are our best bets, and how we proceed in the draft and the trade market will dictate our free agency. |

Well the article did say that a lot can change between now and FA. |

There is some truth to it and it’s self inflicted.
However, if OKC loses in round 1, I’m sure the narrative will change
The perception right now is chaos and not many top tier guys are going to sign up to be second fiddle to Klutch. |

Good. Outside of LeBron, it's been a bad idea anyway. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Paul George has a tendency to act like a little kid, if the article is comparing PG denying us then they have no idea what there talking about, In fact Klay and Kawhi to me are guys who have the guts to play with the Lakers cause they love the pressure. |

They both seem different then the typical pre madonna NBA player of today. |

Should have invested all our energy into acquiring PG instead of LBJ. Cant make PG feel like our 2nd choice.
Any young top 10 player is not going to want to sign a contract to come play with an aging superstar. On top of this aging superstar creating a media circus and basically alienating our young core.
Cant wait for this LBJ/Magic experiment to end. |

Yes.
A lot can happen, let’s not believe everything we read. I’m pretty sure we will get some good news in the FA front at some point..
Like: Irving to Lakers gaining steam
Klay and Lakers having mutual interest
Etc.

We have another dude working with The Athletic saying that Kawhi's preference is only down to Clippers or Lakers. So, which is it? I think all stars will give us a chance and serious look this summer. PG was 100% swayed by Mintz and his toxic relationship with Pelinka. |

You wouldn't want any of the big free agents from this class? _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

It has little to do with the franchise being in disarray or not. if we're not winning like crazy with a guaranteed dream team. you will hear every ounce of negative they could possibly squeeze out of the lakers. it generates way too much money not to do this. |
