If I felt like the money could be better spent and that a championship could realistically be close, I have no issue with letting players go. The Patriots Way, if you will. Perhaps you will recall that I was on record last offseason as saying that I would have let Kershaw walk, if he was going to opt out.
Meanwhile, we have a heck of a Game 2 unfolding in Houston. |
I am 100% different in that way. I have never been a big Joey Votto fan, and his production is diminishing annually....but he better play his last game in a Reds uniform. I was the same way with Larkin.
Yes, Houston better take control of this game, or they will be in a big hole. |

Yankees are in a bullpen battle at 2-2 in the 8th. I think they would have taken this setup before the game started. |

more surprisingly is they will appear to have solid odds of winning it....or greater than I would have anticipated a few weeks ago. Also, Rendon is having a career series at the exact right time... |

Assuming the Nationals don't blow this Game 3 lead and the series, they'll still be an underdog in the World Series no matter the opponent, but I do agree that they won't be massive underdogs. |

The Nationals just turned into a buzzsaw the last few weeks....probably do not want to be off long waiting on the ALCS. Cardinals are fighting back tonight. |

Nats team of destiny. I’m pulling for them. At least Doyers lose to the world champs
I wish that was the Dodgers sweeping the cards for payback |

And to think the Dodgers had the Nats against the wall....if they haven't called Kershaw in relief who knows what would've happened. |

The Nationals have been hot since their 19-31 start. They went on a 108 win pace after that.
Thought this was unusual:
First 50 games:
Tigers: 19-31
Nationals: 19-31
Final Record:
Tigers: 47-114
Nationals: 93-69 |

And Howie Kendrick is the NLCS MVP.....how come he didn't have that form when he was playing in Dodger blue? |

I heard on the postgame that they were 12 games under .500 in May. I did not realize they were every that low. |
