He's the best player in the world. And say... Philly or Milwakuee beats GS in the finals this year. And we grab Durant in Free Agency  . We'd probably get 2 out of the next 3 chips. Whether we keep the young guys or not.
Durant and Lebron would dominate like Jordan and Pippen. Our FO would be considered geniuses. Every step to get to that point would be praised. And the naysayers quieted on all fronts (assuming Luke is still the coach).
But it probably won't happen.

| The funny thing is Lebron trading Westbrook for Ben Simmons probably won him the game. Simmons was a +19 and really pushed the pace during the comeback. Westbrook was a -19. |
