We are probably awaiting for more buy outs, DeAndre Jordan and Trevor Ariza, Jordan is unlikely to get bought out but you never know, Ariza is a possibility, I think that’s why we are waiting it out.

DeAndre might be kept around since he’s close with Durant.

I highly doubt DJ is gonna have any Impact on what Durant does.

If the Lakers knew Ariza would get bought out by March, it’s understandable why we are taking our time, I would be super excited if we got Ariza for our playoff push.

Ariza wants to sign with the Wizards long-term and the feeling is apparently mutual.

The market isn’t going to get any better than it is now. The Lakers just struck out on the guys they wanted.

Swaggy P or Melo? I honestly think I lean Swaggy P if he is in shape. Lebron kicking out to a wide open Swaggy could be money in the bank!

or Travis Wear? He is a little better on defense than Muscala.

I would love to bring back Young, but Lance and Nick Young on the same team is kinda asking for a circus show.. I much rather add McLemore if we want a 3pt shooter.

really....the team that's summer included signing McGee, Rondo, Lance and Beasley is suddenly worried about a circus? McLemore has shot pretty good from 3 in recent years....but kind of feels like a poor mans KCP or Bullock.

Lol you got me, you are right we did sign a bunch of circus guys like Beasley, any ways I would be okay with either 1 of McLemore or Young.

Anthony Bennett 45.3% on 4.7 attempts per game.

Yep. I have always liked his talent. Athletic, skilled - just needed to increase his motor and bbiq. Gleague has helped him in these areas.

Some just take longer to realize their game and be able to apply it in the NBA.

Usually guys only get a buyout when they already have some options lined up or at least showing interest.

Right now he's living a good life in NY, where there's a lot of money to resign in the offseason too and they seem to like him.

So he'd only go for a buyout if a good playoff team should want him, and when you look at it:

EAST Playoff teams: Bucks, Raptors, Celtics, Sixers, Pacers, Nets and Pistons don't really want or need him. Charlotte could use him, I suppose, but it's not a place he can resign later and they'll be a first round exit anyway.

EAST bubble teams: Miami and Orlando don't need him.

WEST Playoff teams: Warriors, Nuggets, Thunder, Blazers, Rockets, Jazz, Spurs... noone really needs him either. Some teams like OKC or Spurs could see him as an upgrade over some options, but I don't really see him getting many minutes. Clippers could somewhat use him, but he went out on bad terms apparently.

West bubble teams: Kings could use him I suppose, but don't really need him. For us he'd be an improvement, but we're probably the worst option for a buyout guy right now.

So looking at the options, if I were DAJ, I'd just stay put in NY, get my minutes and touches there, and see what the offseason brings.

Have you seen Charlotte’s 20 game stretch coming up? They won’t even make the playoffs.

I almost think we expected it to be Melo, but after all of the AD drama,... the FO May be worried about hurting chemistry even more by bringing in yet another LBJ guy.

Not only chemistry, but saying no to LeBron on this could send a statement of who's in charge. After the AD fiasco everybody thinks Rich Paul gives orders to Maginka.

Absolutely, gotta think even if Melo was an option he’d be signed already. Ariza unlikely to join & if we don’t start winning no one who might be free wouldn’t sign anyway. At this point I don’t think they fill the spot unless injuries occur.

Roll with what you have at this point, look to win 16/17 games, get into the playoffs, with a solid ending to the season, gain some good momentum, and be a team that could surprise if of course we squeeze into the 7th spot....

I support the FO, but this trade was strange. Muscala is ok...but we drafted Wagner who was supposed to be what Muscala was traded for. Obviously Wagner hasn't panned out and when you see that we could have drafted Shamet or Melton, who I believe would be playing some, then yes you have to question some of these moves.
