That makes McGee look terrible. If it's true.... Should have traded McGee for thinking he has that type of pull.

Apparently, he does have that type of pull

I don't trust Brad Turner's take. If its true, that is an even more terrible move by the front office.

If a rental journeyman on your team complains about playing time, you don't acquiesce and trade away your youth to appease him. That is terrible.

Trading away the youth that is OUTPLAYING HIM...

Again... if the rhetoric isn't going to be rewarding the young players for playing well, or rewarding guys for outplaying other guys and putting in the world. Then stop spewing it.

Zubac had a solid game tonight...contributing to the Clippers win. That trade single-handily might cost us a spot in the playoffs

Since we are tanking why traded ZU for nothing

This trade will go down as one of the worst in Lakers history.

It was a dumb trade...they found a diamond in the rough and gave him away to the co-tenant.

Mike Muscala erupts for three points; tears down one rebound.

I’m curious to find out if there’s a back story to this trade that we’re not privy to. It just doesn’t make any sense. Zu was playing so well, was out best center before he got traded.

I don't think it was said by anybody reliable, most likely a Kam brother, but in a post game show I think a Kam bro said the Lakers possibly made the Zubac trade expecting to be able to get an Anthony Davis deal done before the TDL. They are probably wrong, but maybe not?

The back story is our FO is the stupidest group ever assembled.

Muscala is (bleep) trash. Shoulda just cut Beasley instead of giving away Zu to trade him.

Also getting Muscala when Wagner could easily take those minutes.

Just continues to reek more of this FO getting rid of people they are afraid they'll need to pay in RFA and then wondering why they don't have cohesive team cause they punt in FA every year.

I just think Magic/Pelinka paniced at the trade deadline

How many bad trades have the Lakers made? If this is one of the worst that's pretty good.

Worst Laker trade ever. Can't believe we couldn't even get a 2nd round pick or something but Jerry West is a shark and Magic is flounder swimming around with a grin on his face.

So Mooscala the bum was the answer to their worries?
This trade made ZERO sense at any level except that our front office is ran by 2 morons. There was no sensibility to this trade whatsoever, if Beasely was a problem we could've just cut him, why throw in zubac who was playing great for some loser nobody like MOsscala ???

Because Muscala's last good game was against the Los Angeles Lakers. If you can score on the Lakers, then you are very special..... says Magic.

The Celtic's version of Muscala is Randy Theis, his last good game was also against the Lakers. So he's special too. Too bad we don't have two Zubac's to trade.... says Magic.

Don't think so. They could've waited till the last second and not made deal once they knew Pels aren't trading AD.
And to trade Zubac to the team we are trying to catch in the playoff race?! Yikes.

The only thing that makes sense to me is if the Lakers promised McGee a certain amount of playing time when he agreed to a contract. But that doesn't make sense because he's still not getting playing time. So it's either tanking or flat out incompetence. No other reasonable explanation.

Every game I've watched the Clippers play with Zu, I've just been disappointed we gave him away for nothing. Clippers are still trying to figure out how best to play him, but he's consistently making impact plays in the limited minutes he's been getting. Continue to cheer him on, and continue to remain confused by Magic's ineptitude, especially when it came to this trade in particular.

My favorite young Lakers Kuz, BI and Zu. Zu is at best when he played with IT. He is the PNR player when you need a half court offense. The problem is Magic traded him for NOTHING!!!!!!!!not even a 2nd round pick instead we get a Sixers trade throw-in. Why would Magic send Clippers a early Xmas gift, it only showed there are more businesses off the court.
