Saw the trailer two nights ago, it immediately jumped to the top of my list. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm excited to start. |

I binged. Lots of twists and turns. I was disappointed with the ending. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Good show. Such an intriguing character in such an unconventional situation, makes for an engaging story. It is both light and deep at the same time. The strength of this is the central protagonist, the Russian Doll herself, Nadia Vulvokov as played absolutely brilliantly by Natasha Lyonne. As always, to create such a fascinating character and story, the writing and direction must also be first rate. I see a bit of Jessica Jones mixed with Mr. Robot's off center reality. Possibly the biggest weakest in this are the supporting characters. There just isn't anyone nearly as fascinating as the Russian Doll, but since is she is such a strong and central character, one barely notices.
It is only 8, 30 minute (probably less, like 22-ish, but I never noticed) episodes, so it does not require much investment. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Awesome. Whole lot of fun. I hope they don’t (bleep) it up and try to make a second season. |

Binged it this weekend - great fun, great dialogue, and just trippy enough to keep you interested without overwhelming the characters and story. |

Do you think there will be a sequel? They left the door open. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I would be surprised if they do not have a sequel. How they will imagine it is hard to guess, but they did come up with the first "trippy" season after all. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

I could see a world where they springboard off that final scene and go round a different storyline that delves into the backstory of Horse, the homeless guy. That could be an interesting path. But outside of that kind of divergence, I'm kinda with Cushion, I hope they don't do a straight up sequel. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Hmm, maybe they could serve as guardians angels for those around them, guides for other lost and wandering souls perhaps...? Still, such a satisfactory resolution...I guess if it is about expanding the world, as opposed to continuing to dive down the (imo) concluded story about Alan and Nadia, I'm less opposed |

I hope that's the direction they go - along the lines of maybe figuring out Horse's situation. You have the ground work for Nadia and Alan having gone from seeing all the people disappear from their lives as they go further and further into the loop and then those people return as they unwind that loop. Perhaps Horse is lost and homeless because he never was able to unwind the loop. Nadia seemed to have a fasciation with him (and a connection) that may have transcended simply being in Nadia's loop.
Not making a prediction, just exploring and idea of how to branch the story that would further it in an interesting way rather than just wallow in the world of Nadia and Alan. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Aren't Netflix originals automatically signed on for 2 seasons? _________________ KOBE |

By the time I reached episode 8 it was more than enough. The ending was underwhelmingly obvious in another paen to Groundhog Day (personal growth breaks the loop). The whole Gilmore Girls/2 Broke Girls fast talking hipster "witty" dialogue is something I find neither amusing or clever. One season is enough IMO. |

Damn Ex, tell us how you really feel! If it was so bad why did you watch da whole thing? I'm curious, is paen a typo? If not what does it mean? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Well at the start I thought it was a kind of clever concept. But it never really went anywhere. Possibly that's because using half hour shows made that more difficult. But that's probably why I watched all 8 episodes. There were only 8 and they were only half hour. Lol. Not sure I would have committed to 10 one hour shows. And by episode 4 when my interest was waning I was in for a dollar in for a dime so to speak. It might have been different if they had played it straight. What passed for comedy got old pretty fast for me.
Paen is like a homage. So the show was kind of a tip of the hat to Groundhog Day. They even started each "new" day with the same song just like Groundhog Day did with the radio playing "It Ain't Me Babe". |

I have no barometer of comparison with 2 Broke Girls because I never watched it, but I did have the experience of working on Gilmore Girls for a couple of seasons and there is nothing even vaguely similar between the dialogue of Doll and Gilmore, particularly when it comes to the actual content of the dialogue.
Anyway, unfortunate that you felt it was a waste of time. I found it to be an interesting ride. But, I wasn't looking for anything deeper than that. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Of course not! You are obviously way too hip and sophisticated to put up with the nonsense, as you have clearly just gone out of your way to demonstrate. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know
