That's not a great analogy since no one signs a marriage contract stating their spouse can trade them for another spouse any time they want.

If any of the Lakers are surprised to be in trade rumors, it's closer to someone who willingly agrees to be in an open relationship and then becomes surprised that their partner dates other people.

That is 100% a reflection on them.

It is obviously affecting the players.
Magic made his bet on AD and lost.
And lost the team in the process.

It was close enough as it is but to add the burden
of being traded in the middle of the season is bad.

And don't say they have to be professionals as if they have
no feelings.

The young players were on the block the moment Lebron signed. They should have known that.

They have feelings AND are professionals.

Funny how we only focus on the young players. I think it has affected LBJ too.

Sure, trade rumors have to affect someone of the three - if not all of the roster, considering that so many names have been slung around this week.

Well, BI is warming up to the "Lebron's gonna trade you" chants. We can definitely expect this in Boston and other arenas.

That's an exaggeration. The miscalculation on the part of team management includes their foreknowledge and willingness to risk that no one shows up for work as committed "the day after." Any big announcement of that type (whether you hit the layoff list, the trade list, the plant shutdown list, lost contracts) affects the human psyche. It's noble to say we're all professionals but the mojo isn't the same for a while after the fact, no getting around it. Ownership and management must accept their role in creating that.

Sorry but even professionals don't need to be yanked around like this considering they're hounded left and right by it. Meanwhile, most of us can leave the office and leave the crap there.

Why are we saying the core is playing poorly??

Ball isn't even out there. Hart didn't play, and Ingram was solid. Kuz is the only one struggling, and Zu to an extent.

Kuzma and Ingram got “Lebrons gonna trade you” Chants.

McGee got “not worth trading” chants.

We are all human. If thousands of people or screaming it at you, it’s gonna make a difference. Hell, people get mad when 1 person yells at them at work.

Ingram was solid in the first quarter**

JHart has been (bleep) since mid-December. Kuz has been absolute (bleep). Lonzo was doing well but he's basically out for the year so that's (bleep). Zu's defense is a big turd of (bleep).

Everyone just went through the motion this game. You don't just lose by 42 for no reason...

Probably shouldn’t judge them based off of your own guess on how they’ll react. Let’s see how they actually act first.

Now can I judge them?
