Rather than trading away Kuz, Ingram, Lonzo, Zubac AND a first rd pick for Anthony Davis (effectively our entire young core that the Lakers have spent time, resources, energy and time developing their chemistry), wouldn’t it make more sense to add a 25 year old MVP caliber player TO the young core & flip a 34 year old Bron to get AD?

I’d prefer adding a young Top 5 guy like AD to the talented core we already have than gut the team and have just James & Davis to scrap other players around. Imagine adding a 25 year old Davis to talents like Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Hart, & Zubac and watching them develop into the next NBA dynasty over the next decade.

Then we'd just be Davis plus garbage just like what the Pels are right now. And I don't wanna give up both Ingram and Ball so neither option.

Wait, so you feel like Kuzma, Ingram, Ball, & Zubac are “garbage”?

Maybe slightly better than what the Pels have. We couldn't beat the Knicks and Cavs without Lebron.

It's the LeBron haters who want to see him traded, it still eats at these people that he's here and it's hilarious.

Why would a rebuilding team want a 34 year old?

AD won’t resign here if by some strange chance we did Lebron dirty like that. Rich Paul will be out to (bleep) the Lakers and AD, who is a Rich Paul client, will make life miserable for us until he leaves.

Well thought out thread though.

So AD doesn’t want to be a Laker that much.

AD wants to win championships and there's quite a few teams around the league that will enable him to do that. Boston for example.

He wants to be a Laker because of Lebron.

Well AD's only 25 and Lebron is 34. So you get AD potentially for 10 years with a young core

That being said AD doesn't come here with no Lebron, so the poll is uesless
