I've read the first book and just finished watching the second season on Amazon Prime. Anyone else watched the series and read the books? The book feels quite a bit different than the TV show, which so far reminds me of a cross between Firefly and Battlestar Galactia.
We know that TV series have to condense stories, but I was surprised by the level of detail changes from the book to the series. Did anyone else catch this?

| Not a book reader but this is one of my favorite shows. Season 2 was one of my favorites seasons of any show. Season 3 was awesome as well. |

I had read all the books that were out when the tv show came out and just could not get into the show at all, didn't like any of the actors, probably because it was just too different from the book
I read one more book after that but it gets kinda stale. Long term I bet the show will probably be more entertaining than the books

The Detective Miller character was portrayed so differently in the Books, more of a has-been washout, who stumbles into the conflict. The TV show made him more of a hero type the anti-hero of the Belt. I'll be interested to see where the third season of show takes it, and I'm going to try and catch up with the second book in the next week or two.

Yes. The show was cancelled by SyFy and picked up by Amazon. Season 4 will premiere some time this year.

Read the first book and tried once to watch the show but couldn't get into it. Now with some distance between reading the book I started watching the show over again and I'm kinda getting hooked.

I have not read the book but I am a huge fan of the show. I am just so glad it did not get canceled. I can't wait for the new season.
My goodness, I cannot state enough how much I love this show. It is freaking bonkers amazing.

Man only 10 episodes! I wish they would make 20 or 24 episodes like they used to per season. Again thanks to Bezos for doing something good, I will be forever thankful to him for rescuing the Expanse from oblivion.
Now he needs to get to work on Dark Matter and Stargate Universe. Man Syfi sure does make a lot of great shows and then cancel them way to soon!

| Just finished season 4, last 2 episodes good suspense and set up for season 5. Don’t like they way they made Avasarala too over the top |
