I saw it in theatre; thought it was interesting but probably could have been about 20 minutes shorter.

It was very good. My favorite moment is when it switches from black and white to color/3D. It comes out of nowhere and it's really something.
My only complaint is that some of the footage gets repeated a few times. They say they went through hundreds of hours of footage in the archives, but most of that footage probably wasn't good enough for the movie so they needed a few minutes to make it significant in length. I agree with the above that it could have been a bit shorter.
As a historian that teaches a class on WWI, none of the information was new. But it was still interesting to see it in color.
