15 minutes, 14 points, 6 boards, 3 dimes, 1 steal, 1 block, 3/4 from behind the arc (and 6 fouls) in his return. Could he be the 1st guy since 'Nique to return to All Star form after an Achilles tear? _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

We'll see. But if he looks good this season, Magic and Rob should add him to the summer shopping list. He's a much more realistic get than AD, would be a little cheaper, almost as productive, and would fill a position of greater need (if you still believe in the Lakers young core). |

The benefit the Warriors had is, they could have brought him back months ago.
But because of the position the Warriors were in, they had time, and a lot of it, for him to get into playing shape, for him to get his timing down, and for him to get up to speed.
We often see people come off an Achillies injury, come back to play the moment they're able to, when it usually takes them a longer time to get into proper basketball shape.
The Warriors were in a position to allow Cousins to wait, get into shape, up to speed, and practice often. So essentially when he returned, he was as ready as could be.
But most teams that lose their star to an Achillies injury, usually are in a position to be unable to afford to give them months after they *can* play, to let them stay on the bench and get themselves right some more for another 2-3 months. the warriors could, and Cousins and they, benefit from that. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
