They blow whistles on flops, but when someone gets hammered, no whistles. Then they have a stupid twitter account to try and defend the the dumb calls being made. _________________ Tacos |

Somebody please tweet them that clip of Wall fouling Lonzo mid air no call. I’d love to see their mental gymnastics on explaining that one. So (bleep) dumb. _________________ Phil Luke |

A good start would be less nepotism and cronyism in the hiring.
Many of the refs come from the same small area near Philadelphia.
It seems completely obvious this is far from the best they could do from an officiating standpoint, it is bad. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Maybe that's why they keep screwing the Lakers. People from the Philly area hate the Lakers, L.A. and SoCal with a burning passion. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

That no-call on Lonzo was absurd.
But we played like (bleep). No excuses. |

Nothing new. Karl Malone even wrote about it in his book. When he came to the Lakers he just stopped getting the calls he was accustomed to getting. It was pretty obvious with Steve Nash's body language the same thing happened with him when he came here. And now watching leBron he is absolutely perplexed. They just don't call the Lakers the same. Always has been that way, always will be that way. Just like in 2002 when the refs stole game 5 from us against the kings.

I always wondered if MJ would get the calls if he was a Laker .... |

When I would watch Jordan's playoff games on WGN on our giant satellite dish I was in 5th-6th grade and didn't look for things like fouls so I don't know if he got the crazy flop calls that guys like Harden get, but I have never heard of him having that reputation.
I understand that fans always have the persecution complex and feel they are being cheated but I just have a hard time believing anybody could watch those series where Lakers players are getting aggressively smacked on the mid forearm in the post multiple possessions, followed by the opponent getting free throws on a phantom flop or ticky tack call. I'm sure the box score tells it's own story, but looking at the actual game, I just can't believe any rational person would think it was called evenly tonight who was actually watching and paying attention. |

The average number of free-throw attempts that Malone had in relation to his field-goal attempts was pretty consistent throughout most of his career. And it really was no different in Los Angeles than it was in Utah. So if this was malone's perception, the actual stats dont seem to support it |

Yeah. His usage rate plummeted after coming here, understandably so. So of course he would get fewer free throws.
Bad officiating is rampant in all games. There’s no conspiracy at play here. |

Lakers didn't lose to the Kings in 2001. They only lost one game in the 2001 playoffs to the sixers. |

Thank you. 2002* was the year. That ball was definitely off of Webber. |

The refs do acknowledge blown calls and I'm sure they'll do it on the Lonzo play. Every fanbase in the league thinks the refs hate their team, it is because fans don't want fair officiating and just want the refs to see everything the same way a fan would.
I think a lot of refs are bad at their jobs but as far as conspiracies go, helping the Lakers is the only one that makes financial sense. |
