From what I've read, most fanbases see Lonzo as an epic bust.

Well, they are epic idiots then. Same rival fans who said Bron is washed after our poor start. ZO has been hated on even before SL started due to LaVar. So he had to play at a really high level to convince he's an NBA level to naysayers. Most rivals called Ingram a bust during his rookie season as well. Being Lakers kids, all other teams fans root against them. ZO has done enough to start for a playoff team with his defense and passing and still only into 79 games in his NBA career.
Look at the salt about Lakers being relevant in all these QFTOS thread. After saying we won't make playoffs, new theory is that we have had a soft schedule when we actually have one of the best record against above .500 teams.

we're in a purple and gold optimistic bubble. people around the league trash lonzo. i listen to post games from other teams, and more than twice ive heard these long rants about lonzo's ft shooting, or his shot form, really just (as polite as they can on tv) tearing him up. they are right btw. Lonzo's D and his hustle right now is keeping him in the league. |
