Nerlens Noel stretchered off after suffering blow from Andrew Wiggins (VIDEO)

Head injuries are always scary in professional sports, and they are less common in the NBA than they are in, say, professional football. Still, the NBA is a full-contact sport and so from time to time things get physical.

As the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, OKC big man Nerlens Noel suffered a blow to the head by Andrew Wiggins that appeared to knock Noel out.

The blow came as Noel was contesting Wiggins at the rim, and so Noel fell to the ground while barely bracing his fall. The result was scary, and Noel had to be stretchered off the floor.

Warning: the video below might be upsetting to some viewers.

There’s no update on Noel as of publication but hopefully he’s doing ok and no doubt doctors are looking after him with the best possible medical care available.
