The best part is he used the James Harden signature move to ice the Rockets. Cold blooded. Next NBA superstar in the making.

He has more complete offensive game than Dirk as he's playmaker too. While could be a equally good scorer and shooter like Dirk. If he develops as expected, will be a MVP level player in few years. Kudos to Mavs as they saw the obvious while some dumb FOs suddenly started thinking he's overhyped in Europe. Funny thing is now sacked Suns GM drafted Bender due to Porzingis success and then got scared to draft Doncic. Kokoskov had coached Doncic as well.

Quote:
Kokoskov didn’t have to go that far if he really wanted Doncic but was outvoted.

“It wasn’t an easy decision but it was a unanimous decision,” he said.

He did go on to say how much he appreciated Doncic.

“Luka Doncic was a big part of my coaching career and growth, he said. “He did an unbelievable job for Slovenian National Team. He will be a hell of a player in this league. So, good memories of Luka. I wish him nothing but the best. But Deandre is my son right now.”

The floater was against PJ Tucker, not a slouch defensively.

I don't know why Luka can't be a 6'8 James Harden.

Suns, Kings and Hawks.

What a bunch of fools, good on the Mavs for having the balls to trade up to get him.

The dude is special, plays a grown mans game compared to his young age.

I'm rather envious of Dallas. Luka is a box office draft selection.
At the peak of his powers he's easily a top 10, quite possibly top 5 player.

This kid is on his way to become the best euro ever.
He's learning from Dirk, he's playing for a great coach (I really, really wished that Carlisle coached the Lakers) and he's only NINETEEN years old. Scary.

Obviously. Luka, Zion, and AD look like they'll be the three best draft prospects of this decade (2020 pending).

I think Zion is a great prospect but not on that level. He’s incredibly raw for a guy being compared to LeBron. Top 2 prospect in this draft though.

Hawks will be like the Blazers after the 84 draft LOL, they HAD him but only to trade him away for some undersized inefficient steph curry wanna be PG.

I think Zion is a great prospect but not on that level. He’s incredibly raw for a guy being compared to LeBron. Top 2 prospect in this draft though.

I don't think he's raw for his age and given his rare physical gifts. Folks won't confuse his offensive moves for Kyrie's any time soon, but he's a 6'7 280 pound ballerina in rocket boots, so he doesn't need the same level of skill to create separation.

I also bet that if we looked back at footage of 19-year-old Lebron James that outside of his special passing tools he wasn't more skilled by age than Zion who's actually the more skilled post scorer and more engaged/aware defender by age if my memory is correct. The jumper will hinder him more than it does Giannis because he's still only 6'7, but Zion can be a difference-maker without it and a potential all-time great if it comes along.

Given that Zion is playing at one of the most hyped colleges in the country instead of a lower division club team in Greece, it should be clear that Williamson is one of the top few draft prospects we've seen in the past decade.

Falls in love with his way-behind-the-line three point shot to often for my liking, but he is running the Dallas O to perfection. His assists are up, his TOs are way down, he's drawing a ton of fouls. The result is having a team full of average and below average players fighting for a playoff spot in one of the most competitive conferences in recent memory. I couldn't have scripted his rookie season any better.

I'm not buying the Lebron comparisons though... Doncic is way too clutch.

He has been a pro since he was 16 or something.

I like that he isn't scared of the moment, it is just a game ultimately and he is far better at it than the average bear.
