This is a preview of what they will look like when Kawhi leaves them after they flame out of the playoffs again this season. Paul George is not a #1 guy.
The best part is that the Mavericks stopped trying in the second half and pulled Doncic before the fourth, yet the Clippers still lost by 51. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

If they need Kawhi that much, then hand him the MVP. My goodness. 😮 |

The other clips proactively load-managing to in protest to Kawhi.
Not PG tho, that's a legitimate Pandemic P showing. |

Shouldn't this be merged with the
"Let's all laugh at the Clippers" thread?
Ok, so Kawhi was out, they still had Paul George, I mean, he would take up the slack and lead the team right?
15 points 2 rebounds, 0-6 in 3point attempts, 4 turnovers,
Ok, but what about big-mouth, Mr. defense Beverly you ask? 2 points, 2 rebounds, 0 assists...
shot 29% as a team...
oops... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Really thought they had a chip on their shoulder this year and would have that killer mindset. Still seems they need things to be perfect to play at their level. Interesting to see if this continues all season. Because typically teams who have this mindset, do not fare well in the playoffs, even if they are a good RS team. Teams have to be able to play through adversity and tough situations.
Giving up, and playing awful is just not a way a champion does it. Coming out flat is normal. Missing your star, normal. But being absolutely the worst possible at all ends throughout, at that level, is unacceptable. Mentally, they quit. |

Palmdale talking bout he’s back like his MVP season... such a primadonna team. Meanwhile not a peep of arrogance from Lakers player, only ‘we feel like family’ stuff from everyone |

It’s no wonder why they blow big leads in the playoffs. When you can get outscored by 50 in a half, no lead is safe. |

Hard to believe they extended PG13....his play is terrible and isn't really what you expect from somebody making that much money. |

2 billion, money to refurb LA courts, other monies given as charity, gross contracts for a naturally weird 1st option and a non-superstar as your 2 who isn't a C or a PG. Lakers and Clippers both got 2 forwards in the 1/2 spots, but ours are much more diverse than theirs. Ours can play anything from PG to C and now AD has clearance (Clarence) to shoot treys. The vector on his shots look better so far, (Victor). Roger, (Roger), we look good despite the L in game one, which we had last year, too. No big whoop (we tawwk about cawwfee, dawwgs, n dawwhturs).
Sweaty Balls overpaid, yo. If the skunk of the NBA is worth 2 billion, what the hell are the Knicks and Lakers worth? Good Lord. I think he got caught up in the bidding war, which happens w/ these uber rich Fs who gotta "win" at all costs. Like you know who. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

It's definitely the kind of loss that they piled up last year, regardless of the score. There's a fan at RealGM called Clipsfan98 who went berserk last year over the Clips LM and lackadaze attitude. The kind of attitude that says, "We dont' NEED to win RS games," however, teams that win titles usually have one of the best years in their franchise's history. Good habits are instilled in the RS if they are at all. I think Brawn has set a Kobelike example by staying and playing in games such as "vs MIN". Last year, I think he LM'd once or twice. I'm not so sure that he gets adequate props for that by the fans. He may NOT be like Kobe in some ways, but in this way, he has been. All the rest follow his lead and it so happens that they all like each other. That makes a season so much easier. Remember back to the Kobe/Shaq Wars. Phil liked that kind of tension, but looking back on it, it sucked. Clipps got issues on that front and they could cause the team to fracture and collapse again when the goin gets tough in the playoffs. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

They made a rookie mistake by asking Kawhy(?!1) who he wanted as his 2 and then they were locked into getting him instead of being able to look for someone who was more diverse than Kawhy. Ballmer or someone in the org admitted it after the season, iirc. They were stupid for not talking to Kawhy after that and making a case for other players who could provide A, B, C skills to fit with Kawhy's X, Y, Z skills. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

27 was like a scoring rainfall for the Clippers compared to the All Time lowest first half total of:
19!
Also by guess who? The Clippers! (stats below per basketball reference)
Fewest points, 1st half
Value Entity Notes
19 Los Angeles Clippers Dec 14, 1999
20 New Orleans Jazz Jan 4, 1975
20 Atlanta Hawks Jan 14, 2013 _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

So bballref had the 19 as THE lowest ever still to this point? Just checking as I posted a recap of that half in 2012.
For anyone who wasn't sure just how bad 25 points in a half was, from my vid description above, there was a 1999/00 post-MJ Bulls game where they scored 49 points, Totez McGrotez. Still, the Bulls scored 23 in the 1st half that night. Utah had a 54 point game at CHI in the 98 Finals and they scored 31 in the 1st half. Clips did both 19 and 25. Suckass chise. Me and Lanny are essentially urinating on them right now. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL
