....To add to our current 2 game winning streak.

This thread is a sequel to the previous 7 game winning streak thread. http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=186025&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 But now that it’s officially come to a close (6 out of 7), let’s take a look at these next...8 games.

Vs Jazz
Vs Magic
At Nuggets
Vs Pacers
Vs Mavs
Vs Suns
Vs Spurs
At Spurs

These next 8 games include one back-to-back (Pacers-Mavs), and 6 home games with two away games. The previous 7 game thread had 3 home games and 4 away games.

I want good vibes with these next 8 games. Struggling Jazz, revenge game against Orlando, beatable Nuggets, young Suns and Mavs team, and revenge two games against the struggling Spurs (with us this time having a real backup Center now).

Let’s (bleep) do it!

And the first thing the Lakers should do after their 8 game winning streak is rest Lebron for a game or 2. He's had to do more heavy lifting than I'd like this early on in the season

We need to win those last two against the Spurs. We can't lose a tiebreaker matchup to them. We honestly likely go 4-4 in this stretch.

I feel like we played way better basketball as a team to start. Now we're just playing Lebronball.

Kuzma's hit a slump, Ingram hasn't been playing well, Lonzo's been hiding on offense, Stephenson's hit a slump, and Rondo's injured. Lebron's been carrying the team for the past few games cause he's had to

That is a really tricky stretch of games.

I'd feel more confident if we were blowing out the Atlanta and Cleveland type of teams, but we could go anywhere from 8-0 to as bad as 2-6.

I'm going to think positive and hope for the best.

6-2 is good for me...
5-3 is what I think, but I'm usually a pessimist...

According to GT, Lakers were in Miami for 3 days that could explain the lackadaisical performance against the Cavs.

The Jazz game will be hard. Rubio & Gobart are great players.
It won't be easy, but Lebron can make it happen

Jazz havent been playing well lately.

We need to come out strong and outplay them from the gate

We haven’t been playing very well outside of Lebron. 4-4 or 5-3 would be my guess, but who knows...If Kuz or Hart get hot maybe 6 wins.

Gobert hasn't been the same defensively and Mitchell is going through a sophomore slump (51.9 TS%). Then again the Jazz always seem to step up against us. Just can't let guys like Ingles and Favors go off on us.

The run before and after the All Star break is brutal. Should cash in on some wins now then hope we can go 50% during that hard stretch

Definitely. There’s always explanations for our occasional lackluster play. That’s why I think an 8 game winning streak right now isn’t happening.

If we come out sluggish tonight, I’m sure it’ll be the Thanksgiving festivities, etc.

Why stop at 8? How about 81 straight? One for each of Kobe's record-setting night

Hopefully 8-0, but I would think 6-2....

Those two against the Spurs would be a bit of revenge, after losing those 2 close ones against them early on.
The lakers would actually be12-5 if we won those, atop the Western conference with Memphis...
